People often say to me regarding setting up Private Medical Ins, 'the NHS will look after me' or 'i'll put the money away'.......all very good and commendable but, if you need the top drugs for cancer, which most NHS hospitals generally cannot afford as an example, which cost thousands, putting £200 or even £500 away a month wont cut it......especially if there is more than one of you on the policy, so covering yourself, family or business is a MUCH more cost effective option!
Also with Private Medical Ins your in control, making seeing a consultant or being admitted for an operation down to YOUR convenience, an example of this was I myself had a hip operation and was diagnosed in the January, it meant a minimum of 6 weeks off work so I scheduled the op for December that year as this is predominantly my 'quiet' period so minimising the impact to my business. So as you can see there are many advantages with having PMI, along with running alongside your NHS service you have the peace of mind knowing if you want treatment sooner the options there!
