Principal Honoured! Our Principal, Professor Christina Cunliffe, has been awarded an OBE in the Kings Birthday Honours list announced today in the London Gazette.

This award is in recognition of her outstanding services to healthcare education, with a 25 year focus on developing chiropractic education in the UK and abroad. She has led the McTimoney College of Chiropractic since 1998, transforming it from a single site institution into a global entity with campuses in Oxfordshire, Manchester, Madrid, Hong Kong and soon to be Northern Ireland. Under her leadership, the McTimoney College has become a beacon for quality education through innovative programmes that train chiropractors for both people and animals, emphasising access to education for working adults.

As well as her Fellowships of both the Royal College of Chiropractors and the Royal Society of Biology, she holds a PhD from the University of Manchester together with being awarded a personal Chair in Chiropractic by the University of Wales in 2010. She was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Healthcare Leadership by BPP University in 2021. She served on the General Chiropractic Council, its Education Committee and Investigating Committee, and as Treasurer of the Royal College of Chiropractors, and has been involved in the development of the profession for many years.

Professor Cunliffe's OBE is a testament to her unwavering dedication to advancing healthcare education and has significant impact on the chiropractic profession.

🐾 3 Years of treating Pickles 🥰 Originally I met Pickles as a new dog-mum, with her owner having reported issues such as:
▪️ Reluctance to jump
▪️ Reluctance down stairs/steps
▪️ Walking "funny" and
▪️ Puppy sitting

🐶 Initially, Pickles was fully assessed as part of our initial consultation and given Chiropractic care.
Since then, we increased the period between her sessions and I now see Pickles a couple of times a year to keep her fit and healthy 💙

👀 Being able to have an overview of your dog for maintenance also means I can help you notice any problems as they may arise, as I will be confident in how your dog presents when they're at their best and therefore able to notice subtle changes to help nip things in the bud 🤩

📢 Exciting announcement - I'm training to be a Canine Conditioning Coach 🐕

🤩 I'm really excited to be starting my level 4 qualification with Canine Conditioning Academy - this will be a year long course, working on monthly assignments; through foundation, intermediate and advanced levels of canine conditioning. I can't wait to share my newly developed skills as the course progresses 🐶

🐾We are looking for Case Study participants:

🔎Currently I'm searching for willing participants who can commit to around 4x10 minute sessions with their dogs each week, initially for a period of 6 weeks for foundation level.
🎒 I should know more in the coming week about what sort of kit pieces are required, but most should be able to be sourced either from household items or very cheaply.
🩻 Dogs must be of good medical health and should not be post-operative cases.

📨 I already have a few kind volunteers but if you think you and your dog may also be interested in committing to becoming a case study for me, please drop me a message and I'll be in touch 🙏🏻
