This is a day for pregnant mothers — whether it’s your first, second, or fifth baby — to pause, to be supported and to reconnect with your inner wisdom.

Co-hosted by experienced doula and yoga teacher and mentor, this day blends yoga, breathwork, intention-setting, rest and open-hearted conversation.

Things that have made my heart full this week:
1) Numero uno has to be finishing the course with these beautiful humans. A total honour!
2) Looking up to a wondrous night sky after planning something exciting & general merriment with
3) A house full of flowers from my people 💕
4) Coincidence dungaree twinning with when she came to share her wisdom
5) Overgrown hedges with beauty poking through

Twelve years ago, I became a mother 💫
Not just to my first born, but to a whole new version of myself.

To my eldest son — thank you.

You were my first teacher in love without conditions, in patience, in true surrender.

Your birth shifted everything for me. It cracked me open to the rawest, most powerful version of myself. It felt like it was a long time coming to meet her!

Your birth was so healing for me.

Your birth sparked my calling.

I don’t know how many times I’ve said sorry to you - to ask for your patience as I navigate mothering you.

You are my first time for doing so much. Like with all of things in my life, I lean in to my instinct and feel what’s right. But boy I’ve made mistakes and I’m sorry that you sometimes feel like you’re my practice run!

Thank you for choosing me - my life has been in full spectrum of colour since the day you arrived earthside 🌈🩵

🔟 years of you my girl 💓

10 years since I first experienced & witnessed the power of undisturbed birth.

1. 10 years of looking into your eyes and feeling all the joy.
2. There was no way I was putting you in a cot in the hospital - they told me to - I told them where you were staying!
3. Your first girlie piece of clothing - I couldn’t believe all my wishes had come true.
4. The snuggles over the last 10 years with you - I hope they will never stop! The moments that it landed with me that THIS - this, was how I wanted to support women, to feel this alive & powerful.
5. We knew exactly where you needed and wanted to be. We had learnt so much with your older brother - we loved feeling more confident and surrendering into this time with you.
6. A water baby to the core. Those eyes 🌞🌙

I now see so much of your personality in your birth story - your life force is so powerful!

Thank you for choosing me my girl, I adore you 💕

This memory came up today - 12 years ago, waiting for our first child to come earthside.

When I see this, I feel like I’m looking at two babies. Two people with no idea how their lives were about to change & grow in more ways than they could have imagined.

What I would tell them…

💫 This rainbow baby was worth the wait. He will teach you more than you’ll ever know.

💫 I am so proud of you both for navigating loss and finding a way to move forward.

💫 Ask for what YOU want - it matters.

💫 Babies need YOU. Make sure you lean into all the support you need to make that possible.

💫 Trust your instincts more than the noise around you.

💫 You don’t need hardly any of the stuff that you have bought… invest in YOU and what supports your breath.

💫 You are about to feel love on another scale. Breathe into it. It can feel scary, but remember this is what you always wanted.

💫 Not all your friends will get it. And that’s ok. They were just your friend for a season or a reason. Let them go with love.

💫 Those that have unicorn babies that sleep will never get the sleep deprivation. You are not doing anything wrong, it is just his needs and what he needs is YOU.

💫 You have the most incredible career ahead of you supporting women and families and this seed was planted the moment you were born as a mother.

💫 To both of you - your family is going to be more sacred than your wildest dreams. It’s a bonkers ride and you both find more tenacity, strength, humour & love than you knew was possible.

Finishing with a client… having baby cuddles is always the most full circle experience for life as a birth doula!

This little dude was born exactly how this woman had hoped, worked towards and pushed back against for.

One empowered mother owning her choices & flying = one doula with the fullest heart ♥️

Whether it’s preparing for your birth, investing in your happiness, breaking generational patterns, learning a new skill… you need to get uncomfortable and feel what it means to move through it.

Feel that awkward/embarrassment/pain/sadness/* (delete as appropriate) sit with it, work your way through it and grow from it 🌱

It doesn’t need to be a big before and after photo worthy journey, but get used to feeling the uncomfortable and seeing where that goes!

Just to clarify, I am here for all the slow days, rest, all the ‘being’ rather than doing and all the nuances in between.

But choosing to tackle the uncomfy and growing from that - that takes courage & faith… and for that you need to do the work.

You can do hard things ✨🪬🧿💓

This weekend my baby turned SEVEN 💫

Remembering back to the best day of my life, the day my family was complete.

Birthing at home for me was everything I could have hoped for and so much more. I did it MY way.

Being supported then by my doula , my absolute rock still to this very day.

Just putting this out there. All the mum feels - encouraging, supporting, offering comfort measures. It was exhausting tonight!! Gosh I take for granted the ones that have just come out!

After an hour long stint with a tooth hanging from a thread tonight, we sacked it off and went to sleep!

Yet supporting a client in labour… well that’s just magic. And it never seems to go away - that feeling of complete awe of the power I get to witness.

So yeah… other doulas… hit me with your “I’d much rather be a birth doula rather than…” I’d love to hear them!
