Chances are, if I’m gonna stick a needle in your face……you’re going to bruise.
I’m currently sporting a couple of corkers from some recent filler. I’m also still a bit lumpy and bumpy. Am I concerned??? Absolutely not!! It’s all part and parcel of the process.

I get at least 4 of these messages every month. Random people trying to sell me unlicensed and illegal products which I am then then completely free to stick into anyone’s face.

The good news: I am a fully qualified, registered dentist. I can prescribe and purchase all of my aesthetics materials and drugs completely legally through registered and reputable pharmacies. By doing this I keep you safe and I get to keep my registration (and therefore my livelihood)

The bad news: in the UK we have a situation where anyone can ‘do a course’ and set themselves up as an ‘aesthetics practitioner’. It matters not that they have zero medical training. They may have been an awesome Tesco delivery driver. They might have been great at printing T-shirts. They may have been the best dental nurse on the planet. But it’s these people that will be buying this s**t and injecting it into your unsuspecting face. And when it goes wrong…..? They have no regulation which means you’re in trouble because they can turn their back, block your calls and carry on as they were.

Please do not take risks.
Do your research.
Ask questions.

Being a medical professional in the aesthetics industry is very much like being a vegan. You won’t need to ask if we are medical professionals…..we will bloody well tell you 🤣

Look for the words ‘aesthetic practitioner’ and ‘fully qualified and insured’ and ask yourself why there’s no mention of ‘qualified DOCTOR/NURSE/DENTIST’ and if you do see those words, ask for proof. We won’t be offended. In fact we will be impressed that you’re clever enough to ask.

The awesome Lesley at did my first session this week and so far so good. There is some swelling here, and results will vary person to person, but I’m excited to see how this goes.
