Gratitude

Doing this job is immensely rewarding. Helping families when they need a friendly face and gentle support is my why - why I became a funeral director.

Often, families will very kindly send me a card beautiful flowers or sweet treats to express their thanks.

Last week a lady gave me a beautiful little felt mouse she had made, to go in her husband’s coffin with him.

Today this lovely lady came to collect his ashes and gave me this gorgeous little chap that she had made for me, to say thank you.

How adorable is he?! 🐭❤️🐁

to let you know you’ll be okay….

Did you know that when we take someone into our care, we always make sure their bed is made neatly and leave a white feather on their pillow. Nothing is harder than coming back into the room that your loved one has passed away in. This can help, just a little bit.

A behind the scenes tour of our local crematorium. Maybe not your typical day out in the summer holidays, but nonetheless an interesting day led by the very friendly team at the crematorium.

I always advise my families to visit the crematorium before a funeral so it’s not an unfamiliar space on a day which is going to be challenging.

We are lucky to have such a beautiful, calming space on our doorstep to say farewell to loved ones & celebrate their lives.

Come and meet the team at our Crematorium Open Day on 30th July 2025.

Between 11am-3pm, you'll have the opportunity to go behind the curtain and take a look around in a relaxed environment where you can ask the friendly team any of your questions.

Today a family said goodbye to a much loved dad whose passion was for cricket 🏏🏏🏏🏏
