At Carricks Brook, we provide a high ratio of extremely skilled staff to support up to 12 adults with LD, Autism, ASD, Aspergers & challenging behaviours.

Carricks Brook is a Residential Care Home in Dallington, East Sussex providing high quality, person centred support to adults with Autism & other Neurodiverse conditions. We follow a person centered approach to support our residents to set & achieve their goals. Carricks Brook is a family run business, with over 30 years experience. We pride ourselves on having excellent relationships with local authorities & external healthcare professionals. The home is set in a peaceful rural location with access to our own wonderful grounds & miles of unspoilt woodland walks. We have plenty of company cars which enable our residents to access the local and wider community including the beach & seaside towns of Hastings, Bexhill & Eastbourne. We support our residents to live their best life!

Park Wood in Hellingly was the perfect place for this adventure, with lots of nature to see and hear, as well as fresh woodland air to breathe in.

Sometimes you just need to sit and admire the views 🌾
The halfway point around Arlington Reservoir offers a perfectly positioned bench, an ideal spot to pause, reflect, and soak in the sights and sounds of this stunning landscape. Surrounded by wildlife and grazing farm animals, there’s always something beautiful to take in.

Andrew loves his visits to the beach, and this recent trip to Bexhill was no exception. After a refreshing stroll along the promenade, he relaxed with a well-earned drink, soaking up the sights and sounds of the seaside. The sunshine and sea breeze made for a perfect afternoon. And that smile says it all!🌊⛱️

Nick had a week of self-care recently.🦷👓
He took some time to focus on his health and wellbeing including attending these important appointments. He had a thorough check-up for both his eyesight and dental health, making sure everything is in tip-top shape.

🌞 Laura had the most amazing time on her recent holiday to beautiful Broadstairs. She visited some of the animals at Wildwood Kent, where she met the bison and explored the park’s other wildlife. Wildwood is home to bears, wolves, elk, badgers, arctic foxes, wild boar, deer, lynx, wildcats, owls, storks, snakes, and more. Specialising in native British species, the park gave Laura a fascinating glimpse into how these animals live and what they like to eat.
🏖️ A day at the beach was great fun too, with perfect weather making it a holiday to remember.😎

Our residents' meetings are a great opportunity for everyone to share their thoughts about life at Carricks Brook, as well as explore new experiences and try new foods. The most recent meeting gave residents the chance to sample a variety of dried fruits, which were a big hit, especially with Richard and Connor. Connor had to be quick though, as apricots are Tina’s favourite! 😋

Our in-house training sessions not only offer essential learning for our staff, they also create meaningful opportunities for residents to develop new skills. At a recent session at Dallington Village Hall, Nick gained valuable work experience by helping set up the training room and organising the workbooks. Another new skill of the day was to learn how to make what was his first ever cup of tea. He then got to showcase his excellent tea-making talents, much to everyone's delight. ☕🍵

Will works hard at College at Oakdown House, learning new skills and building on his strengths and confidence. At the end of each college session, everyone takes part in a fun activity. This time, it was a creative crafting session, and Will got stuck in with his Support Worker to make a rocket - a fun way to end a productive day.🚀

David got to sit and enjoy a cold drink and lunch after his sunny stroll, having time to reflect on what they saw along the way. ☀️🏞️.

Residents and staff set out for their walk in the beautiful Friston Forest, their chosen destination for the day. With lunch bags packed, they made their way along the scenic trails, enjoying the views. 🌲🥪
