Day Two at the Lakes Retreat with KWXplorers 🌿

Let me tell you… Saturday was JAM PACKED, full of movement, nature, laughs, and the kind of moments that make you feel truly alive.

Here’s how the day went:
• ⏰ 7:00am wake-up call
• 💪 7:00–7:40am sweaty morning workout
• 🧘‍♀️ 7:40–8:30am stretch & yoga flow to reset, breathe
• 🍳 9:00–10:30am breakfast (and plenty of coffee!)
• 🏄‍♀️ 11:00–12:45pm paddleboarding

Then it was onto the hike! We switched up the plan and headed to Gummer’s How (Ambleside was packed) and it didn’t disappoint.

The views over Windermere at the top were absolutely stunning, and the pause up there gave us all a moment to just take it in.

Post-hike, we headed back to the hotel for a well-earned spa visit 🧖‍♀️ and a few cheeky socials to round off the afternoon.

Dinner was at 8:45pm and we all picked different dishes (I went for the ribeye.
We were having such a laugh that we completely forgot to grab a group pic in our glam evening outfits!

To finish off the night, we wandered out for a stargazing walk perfect way to digest dinner, chat, and wind down before our final morning together.

Let me introduce myself! I’m Karleigh and I run KWXplorers, a community all about movement, connection, and finding what wellness means to you.

This weekend (July 11–13th) was our second Lakes Retreat at Swan Hotel and Spa Newby Bridge Cumbria and honestly, what a start!
Here’s a little look at what we got up to on Day One…

Everyone arrived from 4pm, and we kicked things off with:
🎁 Goodie bags on arrival
✍🏼 Writing our personal promises for the weekend
🧘🏼‍♀️ A gentle flow session to stretch out & break the ice
🍕 Fresh pizzas & chilled acoustic music with
🍷 A few relaxed evening socials
🚶🏼‍♀️ A calming evening walk to wind down for a restful sleep

None of these amazing women had met before, but there was an instant vibe, ready for a weekend of connection, self-discovery, and good times.

At KWXplorers, we’re big on balance.

We know wellness looks different for everyone so whether it’s movement, hiking, food, downtime, or just a break from the noise, we aim to give you a bit of everything to help you reconnect and feel more like you.

🫐Full slap up breakfast together-buffet style today before chills by the pools, treatments and conversations

🏖️Marbella bound this afternoon, beach vibes before hitting up a cute restaurant along the front

🥙Thank you for hosting us all with a delicious evening meal and bday celebrations!

WHAT A DAY, FLEW BY OF COURSE AS IT WAS OUR LAST FUN FILLED DAY 😢

🏃‍♀️A run for our pro runners in the group
🧘‍♀️We regrouped for our sun salutations

🫐Full slap up breakfast together before gathering our bits to head off into the wilderness to hit the famous hike

🥾We climbed and laughed the whole way along the 5km stretch of this incredible Malaga wonder before heading back to the villa for extra sunshine, pool time and treatment time!

💋Time to get our evening out fits on to head into the local town for an incredible meal at the out standing with entertainment- Only the best for my girls 👌

WHAT A DAY!

Day UNO how it goes …
⏰4am wake up call for the…
✈️7.30am flight to Malaga

🏎️Jumped into our 9 seater and drove off grid to our villa in the mountains.

🧖‍♀️We relaxed by the pool, took in the surroundings and bonded whilst some Xplorers had their facials or massages.

🔥KW served up a BBQ for our first evening meal which was 👌

🥾Then to end our first day and digest we took a stroll through the surrounding trails …

🤪🌅Finishing with some fun games and the sunset …
