๐ฐ The Clocks Have Gone Back โ Letโs Be Kind and Aware
Now that the clocks have gone back, many of us are adjusting to shorter days and darker evenings. But for people living with dementia, this change can be especially confusing or distressing.
Disrupted routines, fading daylight, and a shift in sleep patterns can all increase feelings of confusion or restlessness.
๐ A few small things can help:
Keep daily routines consistent.
Use good lighting indoors to reduce confusion.
Offer gentle reminders and reassurance.
Spend time outside during daylight hours if possible.
A little understanding makes a big difference. Letโs look out for those who may find this time of year a little harder.
