Well, last week really did make me re-think about what I really needed to prioritise.

It felt like my time was squeezed even more than usual and I decided to prioritise one thing to help me.

I chose Reiki, which I’ve recently been attuned to and I’m figuring it out slowly but surely!

So 5 days last week I made ten minutes to practise on myself.

Those were my pockets of well-being for the week.

A small decision to take the time ‘off’ to manage my energy and wellness.

And for that week, it was enough.

So here’s your gentle reminder that five or ten minutes is enough.

Enough to:
✨go for a quick walk
✨focus on your breath
✨repeat a positive affirmation
✨read a few pages of an inspiring book
✨do some yoga

I finished working with one of my 1:1 clients a few weeks ago and here’s why I’m celebrating.

My client absolutely smashed her goals 💥

She came to feeling snowed-under, overwhelmed and exhausted.

She was working 50 hours a week with international clients in multiple time zones, but their was no time for herself.

She was craving meeting people in real life and bringing her knowledge to her local area but their idea felt daunting!

She ended my coaching program:
✨with a new work schedule which worked with her time zone, giving her more time in the morning with her family
✨with a new member of her team who managed all of the admin, freeing up her energy for her clients
✨weaving small pockets of yoga, meditation and rebounding into her day along with a new hobby
✨she held her first in person workshop despite the fear of doing something new. She received great feedback and is looking forward to the next one

She now has the tools and awareness to keep this new way of working up and I’m so excited to see what is next for her ✨

Last week one of my yoga students told me that I had inspired someone she knew over 50 miles away to start a yoga practice ✨

It was a beautiful reminder of the ripple effect that you can have when you share what you’re passionate about with others.

Maybe it inspires one person.
Who tells a friend.
Who tells another friend.

And the ripple becomes bigger….often without you even knowing it.

So if there’s something you’re passionate about, share it- whether it be through a class, workshop, reading…

When I became self- employed I really found it hard to switch off from running my business at the weekend (or whenever I had time ‘off’)

My mind was full of ideas and to-do lists and honestly it was exhausting!

But this simple ritual changed everything for me and it only takes 10 minutes.

Take ten minutes to fill in some soulful reflections so that you end the week focusing on all the positives that have happened (because it’s so easy to overlook them!) and have a space to write down anything you need to remember for next week.

I’ve created a journalling page for this with I use every week as i couldn’t find anything already made.

On Monday I had the joy of guiding 22 people through Slow Flow Yoga and Yoga Nidra and it was so lovely to get some fantastic feedback about the evening.

Some people were regular yoga students, some were new and some had never experienced Yoga Nidra before.

Through deep relaxation, we give the body permission to rest. To rest deeply and to restore.

And in times of uncertainty, I believe this is even more needed.

How about we start thinking of wellness as simple, everyday choices we can make to look after ourselves?

Moving away from it being one big ‘thing’ to add to our already overflowing to-do lists and break it down into tiny choices?

Here’s what I’ve been choosing recently:
✨Getting outside whether it’s for 5 or 50 minutes….it always makes a difference
✨Reading a book rather than scrolling…so much more soul nourishing!
✨Batch cooking nutritious meals so that there’s always something delicious when life gets busy
✨Writing a gratitude list instead of putting it off until tomorrow
✨Consciously noticing the tiny joys around us, like the first ladybird I spotted on my walk
✨Wearing my most joyful clothes instead of keeping them for special occasions
✨Being creative and not worrying about the end result

What choices could you make today to support your well-being?

Come with me for a walk into the forest.

There’s something about getting outside and to the forest that helps me step out of my head.

There’s always a feast for the senses from the sound of birds happily chatting, to rivers full of water and the crunch of dry leaves underfoot.

It’s a way of coming back to myself, of easing the busy mind and noticing it all.

So the next time you find yourself mind overflowing, take this gentle nudge and get outside and simply notice what’s going on all around you.
