Here at Friendly Soap HQ in Hebden Bridge, we’ve been thinking a lot about change - the kind that sneaks up quietly, reshapes our routines, and asks us to meet it with a little courage and humour.

So when the BBC’s Riot Women arrived on our screens, filmed right here in the Calder Valley, we watched closely. The series celebrates women rediscovering themselves through friendship, music, and unapologetic joy.

⚽ Big news from the pitch!
We’re buzzing to be the official sponsor of the mighty Crossley Juniors U10’s Football Team. 4 games in, 3 wins, 20 goals and already promoted! 💥

💪 These kids aren’t just playing hard, they’re cleaning up!

⚽ Crossley’s is Calderdale’s biggest junior football club, taking kids into their ‘Mini Kickers’ section at ages three and four and bringing them through every age group to Under 16’s, at which point they have an option to continue their football journey into open age.

🙌 One of the first clubs in Calderdale to have a dedicated girls’ teams. The ‘Belles’ section is a thriving and exciting part of the club with teams covering most age groups.
