Starting this coming week ... I am feeling nervous and excited in equal measures (okay, honestly the nerves might be tipping the scales ever so slightly ⚖️😬)

🙏🏻 Pietra Fitness® is a mind, body and soul workout that gently stretches, strengthens and tones the body while refreshing the soul with prayer. Classes incorporate Christian prayer and meditation in the Catholic Tradition.

🤗 Being Catholic is not a prerequisite for participating in Pietra Fitness classes. In fact, many of the people who practice Pietra Fitness are not Catholic—they simply love the unique workouts!

🆓 These classes are offered free of charge during Lent, with an optional contribution towards hall hire costs and charitable donations 💸🤗

Prayer 🙏🏻 Fasting 🕐 Almsgiving 💗

Lent is a perfect time to try these classes, offering a chance to give up an hour of your time each week as a Lenten sacrifice, dedicating that time to prayerful movement, with the added opportunity for almsgiving.

Gentle Classes for Women will be offered as below, starting 23rd February and running at the same times every week until Holy Thursday 2nd April

Classes are offered on a first come first served basis, advance booking not required.

If you have an exercise mat, please bring it along (spares available so don't worry if you don't have one!)

🙏 Pietra Fitness is a stretching and strengthening exercise class that integrates Christian prayer into the workout. It is a wellness program for those who seek full integration of mind, body, and soul. We stretch and strengthen the body in combination with Christian prayer and meditation based on Catholic spirituality. In only one hour, you feel calmer, stronger, refreshed, and renewed.

🙋‍♀️ Who can attend?

People of all beliefs are warmly welcomed. This is a Gentle series, so is suitable for complete beginners to this type of exercise, no experience is needed.

This series is women only, for information about men's classes, please get in touch on 07734 361175 or emma@dancercize.co.uk

🧱 What should I bring?

Exercise Mats can be provided, however if you have your own it is recommended for you to bring it please. Some participants use props such as a fitness block, cushion, towel, blanket ... you can bring your own or spares are available. Wear comfortable clothing that you can move freely in. The class can be done in bare feet or socks, if you are wearing socks, you may find grippy socks more suitable however these are not necessary if you don't have any. You may also want to bring a bottle of water.

The Advent Series was full (in fact during one of the sessions we really did have to squash up to squeeze everyone in!) ... so if you are interested in coming I recommend booking early 🥰
