Rebecca May Yoga My intention is to create an inspiring and joyful place for students to reconnect with themselves and navigate presence and self awareness.

• Weekly yoga classes in the Hedge End area.• Private 1-1 yoga classes can be held in my studio or at your home, please contact me directly for further information. I have been practising yoga for 8 years, initially as a dancer I found yoga through my love of movement. It wasn’t until I began to learn the true meaning of the linage that I really fell in love with the practice and now allow these teachings to ripple through my life. I feel truly blessed to be able to share my passion as a teacher and feel much gratitude for the wonderful community it creates.

Whether or not this is relevant to you specifically, it may help with any procedure like a c-section, recovering from birth or just a moment in your life where you need to slow down and heal.

Here are the things I did to recover from explant surgery, I’m not a medical professional, just sharing my experience in hopes it may help someone or share insight 🤍

Happiness lately 🌞

1. Hosting a longevity retreat with the most aligned, likeminded women 🧘🏼‍♀️
2. Sunday snuggles while I read my book ended with a sweet angel asleep on me like a newborn photoshoot 🥹
3. Morning walks have been SAVING me during this recovery period. Movement is medicine. Reframe ‘I have to move my body today’ to ‘I GET to move my body today’ it’s a privilege 🫶🏼
4. Did a order and I’m OBSESSED highly recommend if you like a natural look and your makeup done and dusted in under 5 mins 💋
5. Adore adore adore adore 💕
6. Dinner date with my bestie, girl time is the BEST 🤍
7. Birthday morning for my sweet darling girl on her 4th birthday… HOW? 🥲🎀
8. Proudly picked from the garden 🌸
9. One of my daily joys is feeding my little ladies the rainbow 🌈
10. Pony princesses 🐴
11. My entire world 🌍
12. Having a close age gap was incredibly hard in the early days, but I’d do it again in a heartbeat. They have a best friend in each other every moment of every day. It’s my greatest joy watching them grow together. A bond like no other ♾️

It’s worth being aware of the habits we turn to and how they serve us. Some give instant gratification but then leave you feeling worse than before.

Theres space for it all, even the things that pick you up and drop you. But more often than not, we should be trying to utilise the tools that nurture us long after the moment has passed. The ones our future self will thank us for 🤍🤍🤍🤍

Afternoon edition of the ingrained habits I’ve implemented over the years, that help me feel my best in both mind and body.

These are all simple, doable and realistic. Unlike a lot of what we’re seeing wellness as these days e.g take 100 supplements, put 10 different powders in your water, go in a hyperbaric chamber and inject yourself with NAD 🤪

Its the simple things 🤝🏼

Sharing some of the habits I’ve implemented over the years, that I often forget to mention. Their so ingrained I don’t even think about them anymore 🧘🏼‍♀️

Hopefully one or some of these may inspire a healthy change in your morning routine.

Afternoon and evening edition to follow 🤍

This may be irrelevant to you but I hope there’s something you can take to help with any big decision you may need to make, or have coming up 🤍

Here are the ways I prepared for my surgery physically, but more importantly mentally. The last slide is undoubtedly the most important and can be transferred to so many things in life.

I’m a completely different person to who I was 9 years ago when I initially had my breast augmentation and therefore my decision process has been completely different. More thorough, with a hell of a lot of honesty with myself, self awareness and care.

Over the last few years I’ve slowly got into gardening, sometimes failing, sometimes succeeding. I absolutely love it, I find the quiet mornings spent tending to the garden so calming and grounding (or not so quiet
when the girls help me, which they love).

My method has always been just chuck the seeds in and hope for the best but this year I bought book Grow Easy, it’s amazing, I really reccomend if you’re just starting out too.

I recently met the loveliest lady who is the head gardener at Soho Farmhouse, it’s absolutely incredible what they do, the time, effort and care that goes into it all. I think we sometimes overlook where our food comes from and the effort that’s behind it all.

If you’re growing anything I’d love to know, I’m always looking for tips and new things to try 🪴🫜👩🏼‍🌾

This is a post to save for those moments you’re burnt out, stressed, overwhelmed and feel stuck in a rut with decision fatigue so can’t even think about what to do in order to feel better, sound familiar?

We ALL have days/weeks/months like this, so let me hold your hand through it. Whether it’s one or all of these things, start somewhere. Here are my favorite simple tools to shift unwanted negative energy 🤍

Mindful Reads for Children - You and your little ones will LOVE these 💕

I adore children’s books, especially when they have such beautiful messaging like these. When you read multiple books per night to your little ones, a recommendation is often welcome so I hope this is helpful. They’re all such special books that we adore reading.

1. Every Bunny is a Yoga Bunny - I couldn’t share just one page of this book because it’s all so beautiful and powerful. It tells a story of a bunny called yo-yo who has a busy mind and a fidgety bottom and how through the practices of yoga (that grandpa bunny teaches him), he manages to find his way home. It is the most beautiful representation of what yoga does for us in coming home to ourselves, even if you’re not a yogi this book is a MUST for children. 🐰

2. Love Grows Here - this is such calming story with the most beautiful illustrations. 💛

3. The Worrysaurus - I bought this when Tullulah was struggling to settle into preschool, we love the story and the use of affirmations makes me so happy. I wish I knew about affirmations when I was younger, I think they’d have helped me in many ways. 🦋

4. The Lion Inside - I think we’ve read this every night for about 2 weeks now! The BEST story and if you love a bit of amateur dramatics like me, you can really go for it with the delivery 🤣. ‘If you want things to change, you first have to change you’. There’s so many beautiful quotes in this book. 🦁

5. What Do You See When You Look At A Tree? - Uh, this book is beautiful, so thought provoking and strangely emotive. I’ve shared the two last pages that come after the story. It’s quite an interactive book too so lovely to read with little ones and get them thinking about nature. 🌳

What are your favourite books to read with your little ones? Always looking for new books to add to their ever growing collection as a book obsessed mama.
