Rebecca May Yoga

Rebecca May Yoga My intention is to create an inspiring and joyful place for students to reconnect with themselves and navigate presence and self awareness.

• Weekly yoga classes in the Hedge End area.• Private 1-1 yoga classes can be held in my studio or at your home, please contact me directly for further information. I have been practising yoga for 8 years, initially as a dancer I found yoga through my love of movement. It wasn’t until I began to learn the true meaning of the linage that I really fell in love with the practice and now allow these teachings to ripple through my life. I feel truly blessed to be able to share my passion as a teacher and feel much gratitude for the wonderful community it creates.

Everrrything post explant surgery 💭

The whole experience taught me so much about myself, I think whether you’re considering a surgery or not there’s a lot of lessons on self acceptance and appreciating what we’ve already got, (especially in a world that projects perfection).

So whether it’s relevant to you or not, let it remind you that happiness really is an inside job 🤍

I 🤍 HALF TERM*
*the fact I’ve been having thorough conversations with ChatGPT about homeschooling is one for another day 🤪

1. No one is going to prioritise your peace for you. Its so easy to lose yourself in scrolling your phone for 15 minutes when you could be prioritising activities that enhance how you feel or give your mind a break from it all 💭
2. Yoga at 9am, brunch at 10am 🧘🏼‍♀️
3. Screenshot 💌
4. ‘Mummy I’m just going to relax in the sunshine for a little bit’ 💓
5. Dance mum 🩰🤍
6. Daily commitment to myself so that I can be the best mama, wife, and everything else. YOU are the foundation of it all, it starts with you ☁️
7. Favourite part of the garden, makes my gratitude practice each day vvvv easy 🌸
8. More screenshots 💌
9. Creating an easter egg hunt for my girlies 🐰
10. Making moments like this magical for them is the most precious thing 🐣
11. We’ve prioritised slow mornings most days of half term and they’ve been so special. Just spending time doing things together that we love like crafts, colouring, reading, yoga, walking etc. The past two weeks have my cup feeling FULL. 💕
12. Pottery painting with our besties. One of my intentions for the year was to prioritise JOY. Not only doing things because I have to or because they benefit, but simply doing thing’s for joy, and joy alone. Baking sourdough has been one of them and this was another. Having two hours away from the phone doing somethings creative with our best friends was the best way to spend an afternoon 🎨

10 JOURNALING PROMPTS TO SET THE TONE FOR A NEW MONTH 💭

1. How have I been feeling recently?
2. Do I feel stuck in anyway and if so where? (routine, health, home, motivation, work, scrolling, habits etc)
3. What in my life is no longer serving me?
4. What stories do I keep telling myself? (excuses, self criticism, self doubt)
5. Where in my life do I need to implement stronger boundaries?
6. What do I want more of in my life? What lights me up?
7. Where and how could I simplify?
8. How do I want to feel this month? (make it simple - one priority, what do you need most? calm/presence/joy etc)
9. What habits or rituals would make my days feel calmer or more intentional?
10. What small change/commitment could improve my daily routine straight away?

SAVE this post and take time to notice how much calmer and clearer your mind feels afterwards, journaling really is like free therapy 🤍

Moments of lovely and peace 🤍

I’ve been reflecting so much recently on what success means to me.

For me, it’s being healthy both mind and body, being present, feeling content, joyful and calm, having a strong family unit and the gift of time to spend with each other and doing things that light us up.

I think we can get lost in what success ‘should’ look like sometimes. Especially on something like social media where we find validation and success in numbers, likes and views.

It’s alwayssss the small things.

1. A beautiful new book as a gift for Mother’s Day 🍊
2. The best we were going to get at Mother’s Day lunch (the sock and Ugg combo wasn’t my styling) 💕
3. My first ever loaf of sourdough going in the oven. It was soooooo delicious 👩🏼‍🍳
4. Gratitude & being present enough to notice (try looking up more)💭
5. A moment of calm 🤍
6. I think about this a lot when we’re hard on ourselves. We once only dreamed of the live we’re currently living ✨
7. Sweet boy 🌙
8. 💫💫💫
