My favourite self development books
1. You can heal your life - Louise Hay. This is my number one recommendation, always. I read it at a time in my life that firstly, I needed to hear it, but more importantly, I was READY to hear it, and it was life changing.
2. Let them - Mel Robbins. I think we could all do with taking this theory on. It’s freeing when you stop trying to control everything around you. You open yourself up to so much joy, peace and contentment.
3. Atomic habits - James Clear. I already have strong habits so while I loved reading this and found it inspiring it didn’t change an awful lot for me, but I can imagine if you’re someone who struggles with implementing healthy, lasting habits this would be a game changer.
1. Journey from the heart - Melody Beattie. I love this book so much. This is an amazing one if you struggle to read/finish a book. You just read a small paragraph a day which gives you perspective/something to contemplate which helps you to live a more mindful life.
5. Daily Stoic - Ryan Holiday - likewise with the above, it’s a small daily reading to contemplate based on stoic philosophy.
6. Ask and It Is Given - Esther and Jerry Hicks. I adored this book. Most of the books I’ve read on the law of attraction/manifestation have really opened by mind and given me such an inspired, abundant feeling.
7. The Artists Way - Julia Cameron. I’m still slowly reading this along side other books, but I’ve heard incredible things and there’s some really nice practices that connect you to your creativity.
