We all go through periods of growth, expansion and stagnation.. ✨

Having begun this retreat adventure and work in a bit of a stagnation slump, I was worried.

Am I enough?
Can I hold these goddesses for a week?
What if I fail?

And don't get me wrong, there were hurdles, bumps in the road and unexpected events.
But I did it!

Just before this retreat I met with my therapist, who asked me each morning to meditate with the goddess of the day.

From Gaia, Hera, Aphrodite to Persephone, Artemis, Athena & Hestia each morning I asked them for their wisdom, and each time I felt a loving hand on my back pushing me forwards into the day.

Life can sometimes feel like it's stretching you, pulling you in many directions. But if you never face it, you never know or grow.

The reward of last week far outweighed any moment of self doubt.

So I ask you, what are you afraid to do. And is just doing it better than wondering what it might have been like?

The world gets very big when the sun shines 🌤️

I imagine people sat outside little cafes in the alleyways of Bristol and Edinburgh, people wandering along the shores of Norfolk and Aberystwyth with an ice cream and the dappled light on people faces as they wander the wooded hilly countryside of Devon and North Wales.

The Sun is an expander of our awareness. By simple seeing further, you breathe deeper, knowing you're safe from immediate disruption.

We also have an inner sun, what many of you in class have come to know as 'the light of inner awareness'. In our yoga practice, especially when meditating we shine that light more brightly and clearly, illuminating areas of the mind/body that are sometimes cloaked in shadow.

So on these bright days, I entice you to bask in the brilliance of our sun rays, but also the inner luminescence of your solar centre.

☀️

If you'd like a meditative guide, I have a free page on my website called 'quiet corner'.

Symbolism is a powerful language of the soul… 🐚

To weave together the threads of yoga, nature, and philosophy that inspire my practice, I’d love to share a few symbols you’ll see reflected in my work:

🌊 The Wave - A timeless emblem of flow and transformation. Water and waves have long been used to express the ineffable, just as the fluid, graceful movements in my classes invite you to move with intuition and ease.

☀️ The Sun - A radiant symbol of inner awareness and awakened presence. Like sunlight breaking through clouds, it speaks to the clarity that arises in stillness, through meditation, breath, and deep rest.

🐚 The Conch Shell - Revered in ritual across India and Nepal, the conch spirals inward; a sacred echo of the yogic journey. It calls us home to ourselves, acting as a reminder of the power of devotion and ceremony.

❤️ The Pomegranate - The fruit of myth and mystery, forever linked to Persephone, goddess of spring and queen of the underworld. Her story reflects the essence of non-duality: light and shadow, death and rebirth, held in perfect balance.

Which is your favourite?

What if turning your world upside down could bring you closer to the truth of who you really are?

Throughout the month of June we've been exploring śīrṣāsana (headstand), and I've accompanied this exploration with a blog post..

For many, śīrṣāsana (headstand) is a bucket-list yoga pose, a symbol of strength, balance, and control. But beyond the picture-worthy shape, there’s something far more powerful happening when you lift your feet above your head.
In the philosophy of non-dual śaiva ta**ra, a headstand isn’t just a physical challenge, it’s a practice of remembering. Not remembering something new, but something ancient, already alive inside you: the flowing power of kuṇḍalinī and the sweetness of amṛta — the nectar of inner stillness and clarity.
Let’s explore how this inversion is more than a pose. It’s a portal.

1. The Challenge is the Point
Let’s be honest, headstand isn’t easy. It requires focus, strength, and the willingness to fail (a lot). But that challenge is part of what makes it so transformative.

In non-dual śaiva ta**ra, every experience, even struggle, is part of the divine play of spanda, the pulsing rhythm of consciousness. You’re not trying to escape difficulty. You’re learning to meet it with awareness, recognising that every wobble is a gateway to presence. "Embrace the wobbles" is what I often remind those I'm guiding through āsana flows.
So when you fall out of the pose? Great. Get curious. That’s yoga.

2. Kuṇḍalinī: Not a Snake, Not a Drama
You may have heard about kuṇḍalinī, often described as a coiled snake at the base of your spine, waiting to rise. But in the non-dual view, kuṇḍalinī isn’t something you awaken. She’s already moving, already expressing herself in your breath, your sensations, your thoughts.

They've landed.. 🤲🏼

I can now hold, in my hands, a set of the Mudrā Wisdom Deck!

Thank you to every single one of you who's pre-ordered a deck. I'm so thankful for your support and trust to order this gift for yourself without seeing many images, information or detail.
I do not take this trust lightly and cannot wait to share this with you 🙏🏼

This is a hearty deck of cards, 43 to be precise. Each one anchored in the timeless wisdom of mudrā, channelling feeling through your fingertips and awakening the subtleties of your being, through the power of elegant touch.

This deck is for you if you have or would like to have a regular meditation practice and incorporate mudrā into it. Allowing you to choose a card at random and explore your own experience with this jumping off point.

If you're a teacher of yoga this deck can accompany workshops, classes, retreats and trainings to help make the seemingly intangible, tangible.

The comments has the pre-order link, and you'll receive your deck on Friday 4th July 🎉

I'm here if you have any questions beforehand though 😘

The most beautiful weekend with wonderful Goddesses.. 🌸🧡

is such a stunning place to be, I thank each and every one of you who joined me for the weekend.

We practiced yoga, ate delicious food, massaged, meditated, swam in the sea, arose to watch the sunrise up on Seaford Head and basked in the most indulgent restorative yoga practice 🙏🏼

There are many solstice goddesses around the world, but none as important to me, than you 🥰

Until next time!

I'm falling head over heels with growing things.. 🌸💚

I've always had this yearning to become a mucky, dirt fingered, wild haired old lady who wears the same 3 outfits, surrounded by dogs, with a fridge full of homegrown fruits, herbs & veggies and a cupboard of tinctures, syrups and preserves.

But I didn't know how to get there.

The answer is, just start.

🌿 First it was herbs on my windowsill, about 9 years ago.

🌶️ Then there were some chillies in a pot.

🍅 Then a couple of tomato plants in the greenhouse.

🍓 A strawberry hanging basket.

🥒 Some cucumbers were then added in alongside the tomatoes & chillies.

Then we moved last year and since then any idea Ben and I have had about the garden, we've said yes!

Fill the greenhouse, build multiple raised beds, pot herbs, plant jasmine, build a sweet pea tipi, save a curry leaf plant, the list goes on!

And I can't wait for the list to get even longer.

This is our first bunch of homegrown sweet peas, and honestly our whole house smells divine from their scent 🥰

What shall we grow next? 🍠🥦🧄🧅🍄‍🟫🫚🍐
