Roni Ferguson Ceremonies

Roni Ferguson Ceremonies Ever stopped to ask yourself what do you value most in life? is there anything more valuable than life itself? So What is an Independent Celebrant?

I believe that ceremony held with absolute integrity, love and honesty, fulfils a deeply significant role in life's journey. An Independent Celebrant is someone who can deliver personalised ceremonies according to the wishes and beliefs of a family. We differ from a Humanist in that a Humanist can only conduct a secular service, according to the beliefs of the Humanist society https://humanism.org.uk/humanism/humanism-today/who-are-humanists/
An Independent Celebrant reflects the beliefs of the family involved and creates a meaningful and personal ceremony, be it with a religious, semi religious or non religious feel. It is your ceremony, I am here to create it just as you wish. I can conduct a burial wherever you chose, inside or outside, not just at a crematorium or graveside even in a church with permission of the minister or priest I can write and deliver the eulogy.

Over the past year, families have been trusting me with the precious job of taking their loved one's funeral service. It honestly is an honour and privilege, meeting and getting to know families at such a poignant time. I meet with as many family members as wish to contribute and we chat, share, laugh, cry, whatever it takes. Having absorbed as much information as possible I write a eulogy and service completely unique to the deceased, creating a very personal, fond farewell. Should you or someone you know like to use the services of a Civil Celebrant get in touch and we can chat. If I am not suitable I can recommend other celebrants. Please see some testimonials below, rather than self promotion, I shall let those who have used my services share their experiences.

“Dear Roni
Grant, Craig and myself would like to thank you for delivering such a beautiful graveside service and eulogy for Christine.
Your words were so apt, with the delivery and tone just pitch perfect. It made for a truly fitting celebration of Christine's life, not only for us but for the many that attended. I know many people complimented you on the day & the three of us heard numerous other accolades from attendees. We could not have asked for more”
Ewan. Aug 2021

“Thank you on behalf of all my family and I, everyone who was there or watched via webcast all said how touching the ceremony was and how amazing a job you done. You have a true talent and could have not made things more perfect. My aunt in America was so touched and asked if she could send you a thank you card. Everyone has said it was the nicest funeral they have attended and it was just how my my papa would have wanted it”. Corrie. April 2021

“Can't speak highly enough of Veronica Ferguson celebrant.
From our first meeting she inspired confidence and a willingness to liaise until we got the service exactly as we wanted it.
On the day, it was just perfect. Everyone who attended remarked on how beautiful it was. She even gifted us with or very own copy of the service." Charlene March 2021

I am delighted to have trained as a Funeral Celebrant with Neil Doward who was the first full time Civil Funeral Celebrant in Scotland and am currently undertaking further training as a Wedding Celebrant.
I am pleased to be able to use my professional performance training for something more meaningful and to combine it with my love of spoken word and poetry.
As humans we need to celebrate life and grieve our loved ones and I aim to deliver beautiful and sensitive ceremonies that leave every family comforted particularly during these current Covid restrictions.
Please contact me to discuss my services, I am happy to answer any questions and promise that any ceremony I deliver will be done with upmost care and kindness.
