Project Milkshake was a tropical success! 🍍🥥🌺

Our fortified milkshakes – specially made drinks enriched with extra calories, protein, vitamins and minerals to support nutrition and wellbeing – went down an absolute treat at our Hawaiian party! 🌴

From fruity flavours to island vibes, everyone got involved and loved every sip. Who knew boosting nutrition could taste this good? 🥤✨

Already looking forward to the next themed treat day! 💛

We were delighted to welcome pupils from Hermitage Primary for a special visit. The intergenerational time spent together brought joy to both residents and children, with shared conversations, smiles, and activities. These visits are always a highlight and help create meaningful connections across generations.

🍷🧀 Our Wine & Cheese Tasting went down an absolute treat!

There was lots of sniffing, swirling, and very important discussions about which cheese was the “big cheese” of the day. Some residents discovered new favourites, while others decided they were quite happy being professional taste testers for the afternoon! 😄

A fantastic time filled with laughter, great company, and maybe just a little bit of cheeky indulgence. Cheers to the finer things in life! 🍇🥂

The kids definitely brought the energy and enthusiasm, but the residents surprised everyone with their determination and team spirit. In the end, I think it was a tie — the real winners were the laughs, the friendly rivalry, and the great memories everyone made together!

Our hairdressing salon is now officially open again after its small renovation — and it’s looking better than ever! 💖

Introducing our new and improved salon space, now complete with a beautiful nail bar for that extra touch of pampering. 💇‍♀️💅 The residents are absolutely loving the fresh new look and enjoying being treated to a little well-deserved self-care already.

🥞🎉 Flippin’ Fantastic Pancake Day! 🎉🥞

What a brilliant time we had celebrating Pancake Day here at our care home! Our residents and staff got stuck into a fun-filled pancake flipping competition – and let’s just say… there were some very impressive flips (and a few that didn’t quite make it back to the pan! 😄).

There was lots of laughter, a little friendly competition, and of course plenty of delicious pancakes to enjoy afterwards with everyone’s favourite toppings. 🍓🍫🍋

Days like today are what it’s all about – making memories, sharing smiles, and having a great laugh together. 💛

Residents were delighted to welcome visiting military personnel, making for a meaningful and memorable occasion. The visit sparked engaging conversations, shared stories, and moments of reflection. It was a privilege to host such guests, and residents greatly enjoyed the interaction and sense of connection the visit brought.

Our residents have been busy learning how to crochet with the lovely help of Nora, a relative of one of our residents – thank you so much for your time and patience 💐

Some of the ladies in our crochet and knitting club had never crocheted or knitted before, and look what they’ve achieved together… this beautiful handmade blanket! 🥰

We’re so proud of their dedication, creativity, and teamwork. Proof that it’s never too late to learn something new 💜✨

A fun and fitting fact about Nivya is her love of rescuing dying plants and helping them come back to life again. This nurturing hobby perfectly reflects the compassion and patience she brings to her role each day. Just like her plants, those around her benefit from her care, encouragement, and attention. We are very lucky to have Nivya as part of our team.
