🎈🎾 Balloon Tennis Fun at The Argyle Care Home

Residents had a wonderful time yesterday staying active with a lively game of balloon tennis. Lots of laughter, gentle exercise, and plenty of smiles all around. It’s amazing how a simple balloon can bring so much joy! 💛

On Friday, we wore our pyjamas at The Argyle Care Home not just for fun, but to show that every child deserves comfort, safety, and care.
Every smile, every donation, and every shared moment brought us closer to helping children who need support and hope 🫶🏼💜🩵

We had a fantastic workout this morning with our residents at Burns Gym! There were lots of smiles, stretches, and a few dance moves too. 💃🕺

Regular exercise is so beneficial for residents — it helps improve mobility, balance, and mood, while also boosting confidence and keeping everyone feeling energised. 🌟

It’s always wonderful to see everyone getting active together and having fun! ❤️

🇬🇧 Remembrance Day 2025 🇬🇧

Today we came together at the Argyle Care Home to honour and remember all those who served and sacrificed for our freedom. Residents shared touching memories and reflected on loved ones who bravely served.

We were deeply honoured to be joined by members of the Royal Navy, whose presence made the day even more special. Their kindness, time, and stories meant so much to everyone here and their very kind donation was truly appreciated by everyone at the home. Thank you for joining us and for making today a special one to remember.

🌟Rememberance Day🌟

We were honoured to welcome Louise a Squadron Leader in the RAF, to our home on Sunday! After attending the Helensburgh Military Parade, Louise kindly joined us for tea — dressed in her full uniform. 🇬🇧

Our residents absolutely loved chatting with her about her experiences in the RAF, sharing their own family stories, and learning more about life in the forces. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with pride, laughter, and great conversation.

A big thank you to Louise for taking the time to visit and for everything she does in service to our country! 💙

What made you join our team at The Argyle?
I enjoy helping people feel more like themselves through their hair. I used to work as a home carer, and I always loved doing hair, so I decided to combine the two.

What do you enjoy most about your job?
Seeing the difference a haircut or blow-dry can make to my residents.

If you could be a superhero for a day, who would you be?
Spiderman.

What do you do in your free time?
I like spending time with my boyfriend and our dog, going on long walks together.

✨We were delighted to welcome Bethesda Church to our home yesterday for their lovely monthly service. The group joins us every second Sunday of the month to sing beautiful hymns, share Bible readings, and bring faith and joy to our residents.

This week’s service was especially touching, as they spoke about Remembrance Day and reflected on its meaning through the teachings of Jesus — a thoughtful reminder of love, sacrifice, and peace. ❤️

✨Yesterday we celebrated winning the Halloween Entrance Competition with a pizza feast! Staff and residents all enjoyed a pizza party and some wonderful music played by Rory 🎶🪗

🐰 A Day of Smiles and Soft Snuggles with Mack & Tosh🐰

Today our residents enjoyed a wonderful session of rabbit therapy, and the joy was truly heart-warming. Our gentle furry friends brought comfort, laughter, and plenty of cuddles. Residents love to stroke, hold, and interact with the rabbits, which encouraged calmness, sensory stimulation, and emotional connection 🥰

We saw lots of smiles and peaceful moments of relaxation as the rabbits hopped from lap to lap. 🧡
