Huge congratulations to the wonderful students who have just qualified this weekend with CPHT Manchester Hypnotherapy Training in Solution Focused Hypnotherapy.
It has been an amazing 10 months and I have loved being a Senior lecturer, seeing the skills and confidence grow each month for all of these hypnotherapists now starting out in their new careers! ✨

I was delighted to have a chat with Helen Ranson of The Busy Women Club about hypnotherapy. We discussed the gentle support of hypnotherapy to help with anxiety, loss and much more for adults and children. It was a lovely conversation where I shared my journey from industry and why I changed direction to train as a hypnotherapist, life, family and why I love what I am doing in my business now.✨
If you would like to know more about what I can help with please contact by phone or email for a no obligation call or to book an initial consultation. I can also be contacted through my Coda Hypnotherapy website.

December and the winter months can be tough to navigate. There's the pressure of the festive season, fun for many but can be difficult for others. You may be feeling overwhelmed by the preparations to get ready for and the expectations of the 'Big day'. This time of year may be particularly difficult if you are missing someone special and the cold and dark don't help either. All these stresses can add up and you find yourself looking for a way to feel calmer, more relaxed and to feel 'like you'.

The New year can bring its own challenges too, of what you meant to get on top of or change or wanting to feel less stressed and be in control.

Even if you don't know what could help, you just know that it should be different.

I've been helping lots of people to take back control in their lives, to feel calmer, sleep better and be themselves again. I can see you in my dedicated therapy room in the heart of Helsby, Cheshire above JTO Vintage & The Old Bank Tea Rooms or on line. ✨

✨Why not give me a call for a no obligation chat about how I can help on 07720 198822 or email linda@coda-hypnotherapy.co.uk

The card says 'Thank you for your kindness and gentle guidance during hypnotherapy. You have helped me a lot. I feel more focussed and generally chirpier! I'm very grateful'

✨How lovely is this!✨

Today I got this amazing handmade gift and note from a young client. Being able to make a difference including with children to be calmer and be able to cope is why I love what I do!✨

Small changes and taking action to move forward can make a difference. Habits can rewire our brain and consistency becomes easier.

I speak with my hypnotherapy clients about this so it was great to recognise a milestone for myself that popped up on my 'smart watch' yesterday.

I have beaten my 'Move' goal for the last 365 days 🚶‍♀️. That's a whole year of making sure I was showing up for myself, sometimes when I may have not felt like it! ✨

I know I need to keep it going - I feel so much better making some activity part of each day. I have found that using technology has kept me accountable. Do you have any tips about what helps you?

A perfect ‘reset’ this morning in nature. A walk up the hill in Helsby and through the local woods was exactly what was needed.
While the world through the news may feel negative & divided, stepping away and seeing the beautiful autumn all around was so uplifting.
Being able to only hear geese overhead, wind in the trees, the birds (& Murphy & Wilf !) was so mindful. ✨
So many different fungi, coloured leaves and abundant acorns & conkers. Do kids not collect conkers anymore? I remember collecting bag fulls so surprised to see so many today ( still there for the wildlife though!)

Our last tip for World Mental Health day is...

Tip 3: Take a break from the news
While it might feel useful to keep on top of global events and feel informed, we know the news is skewed to focus on the negative stories as this is what keeps us engaged. However, we know that this is only a small picture of what is really happening every day.

Decide how much news feels useful and when it starts to make you feel anxious or low, create some time off, perhaps only looking at the headlines once a day and turning off your notifications or removing it from your phone.

Taking time out doesn't mean you are not responsible and you won't be left behind, it will make you feel better and enjoy what is going on in your life today.

Our next tip to look after your mental health this World Mental Health Day is...

Tip 2: Have a screen mini-break

You don't need to go away to have a break from your screen, and the break doesn't have to be a break-up. Instead schedule some time away from your screen and the notifications, use that time to go for a phone free walk or do a body scan (where you notice the physical sensations in your body and become more aware of how your body feels).
Doing this regularly will help to improve your mood and concentration, you can use this time to do some of those small positive actions you created that will make a difference to your day.

On this World mental health day, I’m sharing posts from one of the Associations I am a member of ✨

It's World Mental Health day and we are sharing some of our top tips to help you if you feel overwhelmed by the relentless negative news and global events.

Tip 1.
Focus on what you can control.

As Solution Focused Hypnotherapists this is one of our core beliefs, focusing on everything beyond your control is sure to fill you with anxiety and dread, the more we can re-direct our attention and energy to the small things we can do that will make a difference the more positive and hopeful we feel.

Start small, we don't need to tackle huge challenges or take on big tasks to make a difference, in fact we say change starts small and grows to become big and meaningful.

So what is one small thing you can do today that will make a difference to you or someone you love?

We would love to hear in the comments what you are going to focus on.
