🩺💉 REMINDER - Drop in Flu Clinic Today for our Eligible Patients

We’re holding a drop in flu clinic today for patients who meet the NHS eligibility criteria.

📍 Location: Helsby Health Centre
🕒 Time: 9.45am to 12pm

You’re eligible if you:
• Are aged 65 or over (including those turning 65 by 31 March 2026)
• Have certain long-term health conditions (e.g., diabetes, heart disease, asthma)
• Are pregnant
• Live in a care home
• Are a carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer’s allowance
• Live with someone who has a weakened immune system
• Are a frontline health or social care worker (via your employer)

Measles cases are rising in England📈
You can still ask your GP practice for the MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccine if your child has missed either of their 2 doses.

The new weight management medication ‘Tirzepatide’ (brand name Mounjaro) is shortly being made available to NHS patients to support weight loss. NHS Cheshire and Merseyside is currently in the process of establishing community-based weight management services, which are set to launch this summer.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide you with anymore information at this stage.

Semaglutide (Wegovy) is a weight loss drug that was approved by NICE in the UK on 4 September 2023. Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) has since been approved by NICE on 23 December 2024.
