What an awesome day....

And extra special thank you to stxphotography_cornwall for helping us out of a sticky spot crazy last minute, watch out on his page for your photos and his street photos we are looking forward welcoming back in the future for pop-up studios in our hub.

We're so excited to be teaming up with the super talented Rich at stxphotography_cornwall who will be snapping the shots in our Snug Hub, on Flora Day.

Joined by our equally talented Jenna, who will be throwing on the temp tattoos available in lots of absolutely gorgeous designs AND who created our gorgeous floral backdrop - which you're welcome to pop in and use to snap some of your own shots on your phone, for a donation - our Snug Hub is gonna be buzzing with a whole new vibe for the best day of the year! ✨️👌📷

Next week sees our 'Your Social' club kicking off.

Your Social is a fortnightly social club, open to all ages & backgrounds.

Our aim is to help combat isolation & encourage people to make new connections that aren't focused around the local pub scene.
Whilst we love a good glass of wine/pint of cider and support our local pubs, we would love to nurture a social environment where everyone feels comfortable.

We're also mindful that the ever rising cost of living means that less people are able to afford the 'normal' socialising opportunities. Its vital that we maintain connections and feel included, valued and in control of our wellness.

📍 The venue is Snug Hub, Helston - YVC located in Coinage Ope, (underneath the Helston Pain Clinic), Coinagehall Street.

🗓 The group will be starting on Thursday 11th April @ 6-10pm.

🪙 A suggested donation of £3.50 p/group will be requested to keep the group going.

☕️ Tea/Coffee/Soft drinks available, alongside biscuits. We will be providing dairy/gluten free alternatives.

🥖 You are welcome to bring along some of your own snacks, but we do ask that you take home all of your rubbish and are considerate of those who may have nut allergies.

🎲 We have a small selection of board games/puzzles - you are welcome to bring along your own.

📚 We have a small selection of books - particularly wellness books - that you're welcome to read during the group.

🧶 Feel free to bring along any projects that you enjoy.

🤫 We also have a 'quiet corner for those who want to be in a group setting but are a little more reserved.

We want the group to be fun for all and for everyone to feel comfortable. Therefore we do have the following restrictions we'd ask you to adhere to:

- No alcohol to be brought onto the premises.

- Please be mindful of our neighbours when you arrive/leave the venue.

- Our Snug Hub is strictly no smoking/vaping. If you want to have a sneaky smoke you can in the Ope and we will be providing an ashtray to ensure the Ope is kept clean.

- Unfortunately we are unable to permit dogs. Whilst we are HUGE fans of dogs and fully appreciate that they are part of the family we recognise that not everyone is comfortable around dogs. We also need to keep our Snug Hub hair free for members of other groups who may have allergies.

- Anyone displaying anti-social behaviour or making other group members feel uncomfortable will be asked to leave and no longer welcome at future groups.

AND LASTLY, PLEASE GIVE US A SHOUT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR SUGGESTIONS.

So I'm not entirely sure how I feel about us being classed as a 'Growlery' 😲 but......
We definitely class ourselves as being a sanctuary for those who are struggling so maybe the cap fits🤷‍♀️ 🧢😀

With our Hub becoming the home of many new groups, alongside our long standing Mental Health Peer Support Group, we are so proud of our space and the people who step forward to utilise it and heal, learn, grow and connect.

We think our space is rather unique here in Cornwall and can't wait to welcome more people in to our 'Growlery' 🥰

We're looking super cosy for tomorrow's Peer Support group for parents/carers of Neurodiverse children. 🌈

Open to all, no booking required - just pop along from 9:30-12:00pm.

Hailey will be there to welcome you and ensure you feel comfortable, supported and heard.

Free to attend (donations welcome for refreshments). ☕️🫖

If you're a parent/career of a Neurodiverse child & feel you may benefit from some peer support, please come along to our fantastic group, facilitated by the wonderful Hailey.

Hailey will make sure you feel welcome, comfortable and supported. There is no need to chat straight away, you set the pace and we follow your lead.

Sharing stories of your journey with Neurodiversity is a great way to share the load, exchange tips and just have a space to vent and express how difficult it can be to navigate the road of nurturing a child with additional needs.

No booking is required - just swing by. Tea/coffee is available and the group are a lively, welcome bunch.

Our next group is Thursday 1st Feb at 9:30-12pm (stay as long as you like) and every other Thursday thereafter.

Our Snug Hub is all about connection. Sharing stories, sharing the burden and sharing a journey of healing and moving forward.

It's why it's vital that we are able to secure our Snug Hub, Helston - YVC and why we set up a Crowdfunder to help us do exactly that.

We still have a way to go to secure the future of our Snug Hub & with our Crowdfunder ending on Christmas Eve, how truly epic would it be to hit our target for Christmas?!? 🌟🎄

To be able to continue our current groups as well as being able to start our new, planned groups & workshops, including:

- peri/menopause
- post partum disorders
- mindful meditation
- a weekly scrapbooking group .... and lots more.

So please help us hit our target & donate whatever you're able to. 💕

As you know, we're an organisation that lives hand to mouth. And we're now faced with a difficult situation - we may LOSE our wonderful Snug Hub, Helston - YVC

Our Hub isn't just a place, a space - it's a life line to so many: including our Helston Peer Support Group & our Parents/Carer's of Neurodiverse children support group - one of whom, upon hearing of our impending loss, replied that they "couldn't imagine feeling safe enough to breakdown anywhere else but our Hub!"

This has really opened our eyes up to how incredibly vital it is that we keep the Hub going. So we're asking you to help. 🙏

I feel like we ask for your help an awful lot but, we have so many people who benefit from our services so we must do all we can to continue to be able to offer them.

If you have anything to spare (we totally appreciate how terribly tough times are, right now) we would be so grateful if you could hop on to our Crowdfunder page and make a donation.
