It’s time for a new chapter.

Live One Eighty will be closing permanently on 31st March. I’m no longer taking on new clients, but I will continue to see my existing clients until the end of March.

Thank you so much to all of my wonderful clients. It has truly been an honour and a joy to work with each and every one of you over the years. I’m incredibly grateful for your trust and support.

I’m not retiring! I’ll be focusing fully on my other business, Arvor and Mor Jewellery. To shift out of stress mode, we need to use our diaphragm to breathe deeply—just like a sleeping baby does! But for many of us, this isn’t so easy. Over time, stress, poor posture, and forgotten breathing patterns cause our ribcage and sternum to feel “glued down,” making deep belly breathing difficult.

In my last blog post we explored how stress can become our default state of being, affecting our breathing, posture, balance, strength, flexibility, and our immune system.

Thought I’d share a little of the training I’ve been doing with Jess. Sometimes the slowly slowly gentle approach works a treat (excuse the pun!).

I’ve started cutting Jess’s hair myself as she was becoming increasingly unhappy about going to the groomers. But I’ve been using scissors which takes ages - several sessions - so I wanted to try clippers. But I needed to introduce them carefully. So this was the first stage, but not the first training session. Just putting them in front of her & giving her praise & a treat every time she made contact with them.

The the next stage which I didn’t get on camera was turning the clippers on, which she really didn’t like & kept moving away. But I persevered over several sessions.

I’ll share stage 3 soon - stroking her with the clippers while they were off. Hopefully stage 4 - touching her while the clippers are on - will go well 🤞

All of us feel pain at some point in our lives and we all experience it differently. Often it’s very short lived, but sometimes we experience pain over a longer period of time – weeks, months or even years.

Pain can make life miserable and stop us enjoying the things we like to do. It can rob us of sleep, make us irritable and ultimately it can lead to depression.

The not so good news…

After many years of no price increases (so many that I can’t actually remember when I last did!), I now need to increase my prices to keep on top of rising costs.

But the GOOD NEWS is that, if you are someone who has been to me before, the price increases will not apply to you until April!

Today I have pledged to achieve net zero by the year 2030 to reduce my footprint on the environment and help to tackle climate change. This is part of the global ​ goal of globally reaching net zero emissions by 2050, supported by Small Business Britain.

I am going public with this to hopefully encourage other small business owners to do the same. Many of us are already doing lots to help the environment and the future of our planet and I think we should be shouting about this!

Good morning! It's a beautiful sunny day here in Breage, West Cornwall and what better day to officially launch my updated website and the brand new name for my Sports and Remedial Massage and Soft Tissue Therapy!

Along with hairdressers I am hoping to open again in April and will keep you posted here as to when I am starting to take bookings. I don't know about you but I am desperate for a hair cut!

Yesterday was my last day working as a Soft Tisdue Therapist in Hampshire. It has been really hard saying goodbye to my lovely clients, many of whom I call my friends. But I am ready for the next chapter of my life and excited to see what it brings my way. And I am looking forward to meeting many new clients in the near future in West Cornwall. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to every one of you who has come to see me over the last 8 1/2 years; you have not only played a very important part in helping me to grow a successful business, but you have also helped me grow as a person and a therapist. I have enjoyed every moment of working with you. Now onwards with the packing!
