To shift out of stress mode, we need to use our diaphragm to breathe deeply—just like a sleeping baby does! But for many of us, this isn’t so easy. Over time, stress, poor posture, and forgotten breathing patterns cause our ribcage and sternum to feel “glued down,” making deep belly breathing difficult.
