✨Meet the Face Behind Helston Aesthetics✨

Hi everyone! I’m Carley, the founder and lead aesthetics nurse here at Helston Aesthetics! I thought it was time I properly introduced myself.

With a background in nursing and a passion for helping people feel happy and confident, I created Helston Aesthetics to offer safe, high quality, and personalised aesthetic treatments in Helston.

I’m a registered nurse and an independent prescriber, which means I’m qualified to prescribe prescription only treatments and will always adhere to the highest safety standards.

You’ll see two photos with this post, one professional and one a bit more playful! Whilst I take your results seriously, I never take myself too seriously. I believe in staying authentic, approachable, & real and I hope that’s what you feel when you walk through the doors.

While Helston Aesthetics is my own business, I’m extremely fortunate to share the clinic space with some brilliant women running their own businesses:

💫Lara from is my right hand and business bestie. She’s a Level 4 Laser Technician offering laser hair removal using the advanced Lynton Evolve Laser. Lara and I work closely together, constantly sharing ideas, supporting each other, and even planning to launch some joint services soon.

👁 also works from the clinic, offering beautiful lash extensions & lifts. Hannah is a long-time friend, and I’m happy to be able to offer her a space to grow her business.

👂Emily from uses our space on an ad hoc basis, providing ear health checks, microsuctioning, & irrigation. She brings an extra element of care to the clinic.

And last but by no means we have the fabulous Elliss who is a fantastic medical aesthetics practitioner and works most Saturdays, offering a range of facial aesthetic & skincare treatments.

So whatever your reason for visiting, we’re proud to offer a warm, professional, and welcoming environment where your comfort & care come first.

An update from me ✨

I’ve been sitting with this for a while now, and I want to share what’s been going on behind the scenes…

As many of you know, my business is currently called LK Laser and Beauty - but it’s about to change to LK Laser Clinic, and I wanted to share why.

Laser is a high-value service and rightly so. It delivers long-term, life-changing results. I made the decision to invest in a high-end laser system to give you the best possible outcomes … but with that level of technology comes significantly higher running costs and unfortunately, the beauty treatments just don’t keep up. Unless I raised those prices substantially (which doesn’t sit right with me), it’s simply not sustainable to keep offering them. ☹️

That, combined with the fact that I haven’t been investing my time or energy into keeping up with the latest beauty trends, products, or training — because I’ve been completely engrossed in the laser world — has led me to this decision to stop offering these treatments from September.

There are some amazing local beauty specialists who are doing the opposite — and honestly, I believe they’ll give you a better outcome right now! I want to honour that, rather than try to do it all.

Hopefully this will also allow me to grow into the bigger vision I have for LK Laser Clinic — including offering new, advanced skin treatments in the future. 👀⚡️

So this is me, putting on my big girl business pants and making space for that vision to become a reality.
It’s been a tricky decision, and if you know me personally, you’ll know how much I hate the idea of disappointing anyone (especially those of you who’ve been with me from the very beginning). But I truly believe this is the right path forward right now.

Wear sunscreen 🌞

If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it (as said by Baz Luhrmann).

Not in your make-up and not in your moisturiser. SPF should be a stand alone product, and it doesn’t have to be the greasy ones you buy from the high street, there are face specific SPFs which will sit nicely on your skin.

The Sheer Tint by is my absolute favourite, it has a gorgeous texture and acts like a primer under my make up, but the tint enables me to also wear it alone. I love it so much that I have chosen to stock it in clinic.

SPF is the best anti-ageing skincare product you can invest in, especially living in Cornwall. Many of you spend you hard earned money on your beautiful faces in my clinic and wearing SPF will protect your skin and prolonge your results.

It is £48 but will last you a good while. If a tint isn’t for you, then I also have other options which are also fantastic 🌞

First time lip enhancement for this beautiful 55 years young, lady who has been coming to me for years, but was always a little nervous about having filler in her lips. Her lips are still settling, but she sent me these fabulous selfies along with the following message:

“I’m wearing a bit of lippy for the first time ever! Only ever worn lip gloss or plumper stuff. I am so happy”.

Lip treatments aren’t always about filling and plumping Sometimes they are used to simply create balance.

Here, only the upper lip has been treated in order to balance the ratio with the lower lip. A lovely natural result.
