Maybe I need to attend my own workshop 🤪

I thinks it’s all the excitement I have in my brain for getting the Calm Kids Bedtime Club together that is running my brain on extra time.

And being a parent all those “things to do” are remembered at the least convenient times eh.

Just like how our kiddos remember all their questions at bedtime - luckily I do have a superpower to help that!

Baby bath and skin recommendations. Perfect additions for new baby gift hampers 🥰

Here are my two top products for babies. Neal’s Yard Remedies have many products but these are my go to, tried and tested and made a positive difference in my little one’s skin when used.

Baby Bath & Shampoo - you can get ginormous sized bottles so it lasts for ages. Smells lovely and gently uses lavender and chamomile so is perfect for bedtimes.

Baby Nappy Barrier Cream - a little goes a long way and has no nasties. We were fortunate to not need this too often as cloth nappies were amazing on preventing nappy rash. But when we did need it, this resolved soreness quickly and crucially didn’t damage the nappies either as it’s all natural.

As a mum of two young ones it’s always on my mind to make sure that they are okay, happy and healthy. One thing that’s been a constant and that actually got me interested in training in reflexology is the amazing way it transforms them.

Reflexology has a magical quality at allowing the body to relax in ways that cannot be described but are so important for growth and development as well as balancing in the most natural way.

Treating babies and children (and all ages in fact) has numerous benefits, sleep often being one of the first to improve!

Unlocking and de-stressing their nervous system can aid in the reduction of anxiety and behaviours that are their way of preventing harm when in fright/flight/flight mode (hows that return to school impacting them?).

Relaxing the body ultimately relaxes muscles. For example, tensions around the jaw and shoulders can be a major impact for breastfeeding at any age and stage. But later on that tension can impact them when eating solids, babbling, talking and toddlering. Mouth opening when sleeping and bruxism/teeth grinding, ear pains/noises could be further signs that there is a tension in the jaw/connecting muscles. Whilst these cannot be necessarily due to tension, nor cause or effect, allowing the body to relax can offer the opportunity for the tensions to ease. Reflexology is not a cure all and I don’t claim that either, appropriate medical support should always be sought but if this resonates with your little ones or you, let’s chat as complementary therapies can transform your family’s wellbeing.
