The current advice of The British Acupuncture Council is that all members should not resume one-to-one consultations at present. This follows the government’s latest guidelines on Monday 11th May. In light of this, I have decided to offer telehealth on a one-to-one basis and establish 2 classes for maintaining positive well-being.
As you will be aware my services in the treatment room go way beyond the insertion of needles. Advice, guidance, a suggestion of techniques, are all part of the sessions. There is also great value in just being able to speak with someone to gain perspective and ease stress. On a practical level, I can offer advice on acupressure points for specific issues, give detailed instruction on relaxation techniques to help with anxiety and worry, instruct on energy and mood-enhancing exercises and offer emotional freedom technique sessions. I taught yoga and meditation for over ten years (over ten classes per week) and also practiced Tai Chi daily. In the first few minutes, I will ascertain what your needs are to assess the best way that I can be of support. I would not offer this unless I feel it would be of benefit.
One-to-one telehealth
The sessions will be 45 - 55 minutes and charged at your current rate or GBP 60 for London patients. Please email or phone me to set up a session. We will then set a date and time. It is good to have a private space where you will not be disturbed.
Class for positive well being
I am initially setting up two classes at 9.00 a.m. on Tuesday (starting 19th May) and 8.30 p.m. on Wednesday (starting 20th May) evening in the hope that I make them available for everyone. These will be charged at GBP 15 per class and will be open to all. They will run as a course of six sessions. It will involve a combination of techniques and involve movement exercises. Loose comfortable clothing should be worn and you will need a small clear space, a chair nearby and water to hand. It will draw on the energy work and incorporate specific exercises that work balancing mood and energy. It will be fun, safe, and effective. This will not be a hardcore work out and I will modify instructions so that all can partake. It will also incorporate a short relaxation technique based on mindfulness. The aim of these classes is to release stress, lift the mood, and balance energy.
Both the one-to-one session and the Class will be carried out via Zoom. Once you contact me, I will send the details on how to join. It’s very straight forward. Payment will be made via my bank details in the normal way or you can pay via PayPal (link on my contact page via website). I will also set up a dedicated page on my website to incorporate all this information. These are open to non-patients, so please do forward to anyone you feel may be interested.
I hope that as many of you as possible can join me for the classes which I hope to continue once the lockdown ends. If any of you are struggling financially then you are still included as I will accept any donation for you to partake.
These are very strange times and I hope to resume my Acupuncture practice soon.
