Because that's what I'm seeing + what you're sharing, is required for our community

Far from it

It's a space for you to explore everything your body needs from rage to rest

So whatever expression you're requiring, it's all welcome

Being a somatic educator I feel every little shift in my body📈

I'm acutely aware of change in my nervous system, even if I don't know what, where or why, I trust my body does

So when it's feel freaking good about something, Ima let it feel gooooooood🥳

+ when it's for a greater cause? When it includes 45+ women shifting out of freeze + reclaiming their bodies💪

Plus those they'll share their experiences + light bulb moments with???

The ripple effect is magnificent + I feel it all💥

The intensity of it all is shifting us into overwhelm, numbness + paralysis

Our nervous systems are frozen

That's why, more than ever, we are required to stay grounded in + connected to our bodies

It finds us near the end of the first Eclipse window of 2026, Mercury Retrograde, Pisces Season + hangover from the Snake Year.....
...how you doing, babe?? Still there?!😶‍🌫️

Still ovaries deep in yearning for the Heights? Ha! How many times have you seen it now?😏🥚

Maybe the news has us completely overwhelmed 🫥

So, we might be feeling frozen, pining for the past situationship, lost in the land of delulu or on the verge of chucking the phone out the window...

Maybe more bed rotting + doom scrolling than the Fire Horse would like us. But he's patient. He knows why

So can you see it as our systems resting so they can reorganise? Recalibrating?

Readjusting even to the weather + season of Spring?

The cure for autopilot?

*Presence*

Rituals help us to do this

My morning + evening routines ground me into the moment, helping me to thaw me out of a freeze state + back into my body

I've recently added in an Ayurvedic Kansa metal tipped wand that when I'm feeling particularly sluggish, inflamed or a bit brain foggy, I've been daring to put in the freezer🥶

The isolated, dry, small + controllable amount of cold gives me just the right level of sensation - it's not too much + doesn't retrigger a freeze or shock response in my body like a cold plunge does which is too overwhelming

Plus I've been coupling it with my favourite facial oil from for such a luxurious experience + glow

This as a part of my somatic, lymphatic + nervous system witchuals have supported me in so many ways + provided structure, discipline + commitment instead of spending extra time snoozing or scrolling

I'm a hypermobile, neurospicy Pisces - our favourite pasa tiempo is procrastination 🤣 so having this has certainly shifted my freeze + auto pilot to presence

What words haven't you said that's causing you jaw to lock up, babe?🥶

To wake up with headaches from grinding your teeth?

To have a cough that won't seem to clear or glands that won't go down?

Anger, frustration, resentment, rage - fight responses, have got frozen in your throat

That "no" you didn't feel safe enough to express due to threat, or because you didn't want to let someone down (fawn)

(🙋🏻‍♀️yeah I'm looking at you, my recovering people-pleaser girlies, oestrogen-high queens + hypermobile goddesses😉)

🙄Every time we've been sat at the desk + Karen from accounting has been moaning about the cost of stationary, again

🙄or your mother in law has said something about the way you raise your unruly kids

🙄or your entitled friend is complaining about how much her house stresses her out when it's just her + the dog AND she has a cleaner but you busy with what feels like 34602 kids who are currently smearing pizza on the walls + unpacking all their toys, but she just keeps on moaning. + it's your birthday...🤛🏼

🙄or a man that has just, well, manned

+ we don't assertively communicate the impact it's having on us🧊

(slash👹go 🦍💩hysterical, tearing clothes off + dance screaming like a demon banging a drum...yeah I was just being polite in that previous line)

It's gonna show up, locked, frozen, in your throat😕

+ most likely on your hips, too, which means wombspace, your creativity, s-nsual!ty, play

If this is making yours get constricted, you start coughing, yawning, getting aggy, butt clenching

Then your nervous system is responding👋🏼

How to turn freeze ➡️ rest + digest

Both are parasympathetic nervous system (PNS) responses but what's the difference?

One is threat, the other safety

So how do we move from one to the other....

It's definitely not as linear nor clean cut as this but the analogy helps, espesh for my visual girlies 🙋🏻‍♀️

Imagine being at the bottom of a small hill {ha, a mound of you will} finding a gentle incline, a gentle activation + then slowly coming down the other side

The ground level was always a PNS state, but other sides of the same coin - they both look like stillness, slowness, smallness...
...but one safety. It was choice. It was not forced. It was relaxation, even tiredness + exhaustion but not lethargy

The hill was a SNS state, a "doing" - again by choice

Not forced through, not maxed out, not pendulated completely to the other side smashing it out on the highest hill we could find (insert letting off steam modality here)

But gentle, curious, compassionate, patient + permission based, yet with a slight heart + respiratory rate increase

It may be breath, sound, touch, movement +/or energy work + it feels like it slowly gets you to explore without disrupting your edges

Hidden freeze state alert

Grab a cuppa + your fave good girl treat, she's a biggun😛

I discovered an unexpected nervous system response from the minor car incident a couple weeks ago, when I went to the gym

I'm a hypermobile, neurospicy yoga teacher, so I am constantly moving🤸🏻‍♀️

Playing, bending + getting into unusual positions (oi oi 😜)are just my norm

So it came as a shock when I found out that...

I got stiff!

Not from injury, but because my body has gone into a protective mode

Sure, my neck is slightly tender still + my scoliosis is aggravated, but I am unable to go to the full range of movement I usually have

It didn't want me to go any further

It doesn't want me hitting a higher heart rate or getting out of breath, it doesn't currently feel safe there

(Watch the full reel to see what happened when I pushed through that boundary😫)

My nervous system, doing *one* of the things it's supposed to - keep me safe

It is telling me to go slow, to titrate, little by little

A potent combo of a flight + freeze response, simultaneously

There's also a side portion of fight going on in there too, my hives have returned!😒

So whilst I'm doing all the things to gently navigate out of these states, it made me so conscious that there are probably so many of us in similar situations, either completely unaware or numbed out to it (a freeze state)+/or

trying to blast through these responses + match the intensity(🤺+✈️), or potentially lack of sensation (🧊) with something of equal disruption

i.e. smashing it out at the gym, going for cold plunges, inappropriate activating breathwork - something to just *feel* or force us out of a freeze response

So I'm so glad our new online six weeks is coming next week, because I'll be on this journey with you!
