❓😴Do you ever have a hard time falling asleep at night?

✅Try this breathing technique from Dr. Andrew Weil!

It’s called 4-7-8 breathing and it works with your body’s nervous system to help you unwind and relax.

💡Here is how it works: breathe in for 4 seconds, hold your breath for 7 seconds, and then exhale for 8 seconds. Repeat the cycle as many as four times.

💤You should feel your body start to relax almost immediately!

WED 8/4/26 WEEKLY RECIPE: 🥒REFRESHING CUCUMBER & ONION SALAD🥒

🤩This surprisingly zesty recipe is a southern classic. It pairs well with barbecue and also makes a great burger topper!

✅If possible, use Vidalia onions in this salad.

Ingredients:
(Makes 4 servings)
● 1 medium cucumber
● ½ medium sweet onion
● 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
● 1 tsp honey
● 2 tbsp chopped fresh dill
● ½ tsp sea salt
● ½ tsp freshly ground pepper

Method:
Peel the cucumber and thinly slice it, placing it in a serving bowl. Slice the onion as thin as you can and add it to the cucumbers.

In a small bowl, whisk together the vinegar and honey. Drizzle it over the cucumber mixture. Add the dill, salt, and pepper to the salad and toss to combine.

Let the salad sit for 15-20 minutes and taste. Adjust any seasonings and stir. Serve and enjoy!

⭐ You might not think of onions as a ‘star’ vegetable that’s front and centre of your meal … but its nutrition power is undeniable!

✅ In fact, the entire allium family (including shallots, leeks, chives, and garlic) packs an impressive nutritional punch!

💪🏾 Onions are a great source of gut-friendly and immune-boosting prebiotics, which help keep your gut healthy. They also appear to help lower blood pressure as well as high triglycerides.

👉🏾 High in potassium and vitamins B and C, they may help lower your risk of cancer and heart disease – plus they have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties.

MON 6/4/26: WEEKLY WELLNESS CHALLENGE: SLEEP TIME

How did YOU sleep last night? Drop a GIF below to let us know!

Your sleep has a surprisingly large effect on your fitness and wellness results which is why your challenge for the week is …

😴 Logging 7-8 hours of sleep EVERY NIGHT! 😴

💡Getting enough sleep means:

● An improved immune system
● Healthier weight
● Lower risk of serious health problems, like diabetes and heart disease
● Less stress and a better mood
● More focus & improved mental performance
● Improved relationships (because of that better mood!)
● Reduced risk of car accidents (tired drivers cause thousands of accidents each year)
● And one we don’t think about a lot: when you’re rested you make better everyday decisions.

Some quick steps to a better night sleep:

👉🏾 Schedule in enough time for 7-8 hours of sleep
👉🏾 Avoid alcohol, caffeine and food for 2-3 hours before bed
👉🏾 Wind down at least an hour before bedtime – lower the lights and do something relaxing
👉🏾 Make sure your room is cool, dark, and quiet, and
👉🏾 Create a nighttime routine that will signal your body it’s time to sleep.

I know I won’t have to twist TOO many arms for this week’s challenge :-)
