Don’t let head lice follow your kids to school.

A few simple habits make a huge difference:

Check regularly on wet, conditioned hair with a good nit comb.

Tie back long hair to reduce the chances of picking up lice from friends.

Not sure if it’s dandruff or nits? Here’s how to tell:

Dandruff brushes off easily or rubs away between your fingers. It’s loose and falls away with a light touch or comb.

Lice eggs (nits) are droplet-shaped, brown, yellow, or white and they stick firmly to the hair shaft, as they are wrapped around the hair. They won’t move unless you slide them off with your nails or a proper nit comb.

If it moves easily, it’s probably dandruff.
If it won’t budge, it’s likely nits.
