☀️ The sun is shining and the residents of Uppermead are making the most of every golden ray!

Out in the fresh air, our physios are helping everyone stretch, strengthen and smile — because movement feels even better in the sunshine! 💪🌿

Families have been joining in too, soaking up the sunshine, sharing stories, and enjoying special moments together in the garden 💛🌼

Meanwhile indoors, the fun continues as others keep their minds sharp and spirits high around the magic tables 🧠✨ From interactive games to lots of laughter, there’s never a dull moment here!

At Upper Mead, we have recently purchased new technology to support interaction , and enhance residents daily experiences. Through interactive tools and digital activities, residents are able to engage, communicate, and explore in new ways. They are really enjoying these opportunities, and it’s clear that the technology is helping to stimulate their minds, encourage participation, and support overall wellbeing.

We got creative making our own red noses, had lots of fun baking rice crispy red nose treats, and even enjoyed a little photoshoot to show them off! 📸

Today was full of smiles as our residents enjoyed a very special visit from Digby the Shetland pony 🐴

There were plenty of gentle cuddles, strokes, and happy moments as everyone had the chance to get up close and spend time with our adorable four-legged guest. Visits like these bring so much joy, spark wonderful memories, and brighten the whole home.
