Ive had lots of enquiries about microneedling so I thought this post would be helpful 🥰 its a long one....but here's everything you need to know.
❤️❤️❤️
What is Microneedling?
Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive facial treatment that involves the use of a device with fine needles to create tiny, controlled punctures in the skin. This process stimulates the body’s natural wound healing response, promoting collagen and elastin production, which are essential for youthful, healthy-looking skin.
How Does Microneedling Work?
• Device: During the treatment, I use a professional-grade microneedling device with a series of fine needles that pe*****te the skin at various depths, depending on the specific needs of the client.
• Micro-Injuries: These micro-injuries trigger the skin’s repair mechanism, leading to increased collagen and elastin production, which helps to rejuvenate the skin from within.
• Serum Infusion: Often, specialised serums or growth factors are applied during or after the procedure to enhance the treatment’s effectiveness, allowing deeper absorption into the skin.
Benefits of Microneedling:
1. Improved Skin Texture: Microneedling helps smooth out rough or uneven skin texture, leaving it softer and more refined
2. Reduction in Fine Lines and Wrinkles: The boost in collagen and elastin production helps diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, providing a more youthful complexion.
3. Minimises Scarring: This treatment is particularly effective for reducing the appearance of acne scars and other types of skin damage, as it encourages new skin growth.
4. Evens Skin Tone: Microneedling can help reduce hyperpigmentation and age spots, resulting in a more even skin tone over time.
5. Tightens Pores: Regular microneedling treatments can help reduce the size of enlarged pores by stimulating collagen around the pore walls.
6. Enhanced Product Absorption: The tiny channels created by microneedling allow for better pe*******on of skincare products, making them more effective.
7. Minimal Downtime: Microneedling is a quick procedure with minimal downtime. Clients may experience some redness or mild swelling, similar to a sunburn, which typically subsides within a day or two.
8. Safe for All Skin Types: Unlike some laser treatments, microneedling is safe for all skin types and tones, making it a versatile option for many clients.
What to Expect During and After Treatment:
• During the Procedure: I will first cleanse the skin and apply a topical numbing cream to ensure comfort. The microneedling device is then gently moved across the skin, focusing on areas of concern. The procedure typically takes 30-60 minutes, depending on the treatment area.
• Aftercare: Post-treatment, clients should avoid direct sun exposure, strenuous exercise, and certain skincare products for a few days. I will provide personalised aftercare instructions to ensure optimal results.
Just £35 in September, let me know if you would like to book this treatment 🥰
