Auras are considered a reflection of your current state of being, both physically and mentally. If you’re new to the world of auras, it can be difficult to wrap your head around the concept. However, an easy way to understand them is to think of auras as the energy someone near you is giving off and your response to it. Do you feel happy? Relaxed? Anxious? This is the reaction you’re having to a specific type of energy.
With that said, there’s such a thing as a good aura and a bad aura. When it’s bad, you become off-balanced either physically, mentally, or both. When this happens, you need to cleanse your aura(s) in order to get back on track. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. Here’s everything you need to know about auras, including the best cleansing rituals you can perform on yourself.
What is an Aura?
All living things radiate a low level of electricity that’s known as an electromagnetic field. Age-old medical organizations believe that this electricity — or energy — is expelled in seven different layers, each of which is connected to a different aspect of your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. Your aura can be seen as a shining body that surrounds your physical body. Any problems you may be experiencing show up as a layer or net energy.
Your aura constantly surrounds you and it changes size and colors (more on that in a bit) with your mood and current state of health and mind. For example, if you’re feeling loved, your aura is larger than usual — the opposite of what occurs when you’re feeling sad or frightened. If you’re sick with the flu, your aura clings to your body more than usual.
Do I Have an Aura?
Yes, every living human has an energy field around them, so that also means animals, flowers, and other forms of vegetation. However, some experts believe that the human energy field is more complicated because we’re more developed.
What Do the Different Aura Layers Represent?
Each layer of your aura is said to correspond to a different chakra. Chakras are different realms of energy within your body. As aforementioned, the more energy you have, the bigger and brighter your aura will be, but the layers can become dull and small if you’re depressed, sick, or stressed. With that said, your aura is constantly changing. Here’s a general guide as to what the different aura layers represent.

What is Aura Cleansing?
Your aura is a lot like a filter, affecting how you view and perceive the world around you. When your aura is filled with negative things, you might find yourself feeling down and lethargic. On the other hand, when your aura field is strong, you are more likely to have a positive outlook and feel energized.
