We are REALLY proud to announce that Kris Phillips, one of our Funeral Directors, has won the Henley Herald Customer Service Champion award. The ceremony was held last Friday at Henley Rugby Club. On winning, Kris said ‘We’re all here for proudly being nominated. In my trade, I appreciate it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but I genuinely do love my job. It is a difficult job, I don’t deny, but to be here shows that I’m doing it well, and that’s enough for me.’ Congratulations Kris, you deserve it!

We are delighted to hear that our very own Kris Phillips has been nominated for a Customer Service Champion Award in the Henley Herald Community Champions Awards which launched their public voting today.

As a Funeral Director, Kris really is dedicated to providing the best service possible to the families he works with in their darkest hour. Nothing is ever too much trouble for him and from the first call to the end of the service he gives 100%. He is caring and compassionate and is able to balance the demands of his role seamlessly.

The NAFD is proud to support National Grief Awareness Week - encouraging a national conversation about grief and supporting those who are grieving. It continues to be an unimaginably difficult year for those who have lost someone. They are always in our thoughts - but especially at this time of year.

For anyone struggling with grief, there are many wonderful charities who can provide support. Here are some of the national ones we've worked with - but there are also local organisations, like Penhaligon's Friends in the South West, Jigsaw South East and Nelsons Journey in East Anglia too. Speak to your funeral director about ones near you.

Full-Time Funeral Assistant: A varied role which includes: pall bearing, chauffeur duties, collection and preparation of the deceased for chapel of rest, coffin preparation, engraving name plates and markers, preparing cremated remains graves and maintaining and cleaning company vehicles.
