The Bell Surgery

The Bell Surgery Friendly and welcoming GP surgery in the heart of Henley-On-Thames

We are a friendly, dedicated and caring team of clinical and non-clinical professionals delivering high quality care to the residents of Henley-On-Thames and surrounding areas. Established in 1910, the surgery moved to our new premises in 1992, which benefits from being adjacent to Townlands Memorial Hospital, with all the additional facilities that it provides. The Bell Surgery is a training practice and we have GP Registrars working as part of the team, training to become the GPs of the future!

Health Festival 16 May 2026:

The Bell Surgery, in collaboration with Henley Town Council, held community Health Festivals in 2015, 2019 and 2023. We have a date scheduled for our next one on Saturday 16 May 2026 from 11am – 2pm to be held in the Market Square in Henley and inside the Town Hall. The focus of the festival is to promote Health and Wellbeing: we hope to provide a range of health subject areas to include sports, hobbies, therapies, and wellbeing. Our tagline is ‘Healthy Body, Healthy Mind’.
There will be a charge of £50 per stand (free to those registered as a charity). All proceeds after expenses will be donated to The Bell Surgery Charitable Trust to support our appeal for a new Health Monitor to measure height, weight and blood pressure as well as offer a range of patient health questionnaires.
If you are interested and would like to receive more information and a booking form, please feel free to contact thebellsurgery@nhs.net

Human papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination catch-up campaign 2025/26

Did you miss your HPV vaccine in school?
If you missed your HPV vaccine when you were in school and you are aged between 16 years and 25 years you are eligible to catch up on your missed vaccination.

The HPV vaccination is given to boys and girls in year 8 at school, but some people may have missed it at the time. If you were offered the vaccine in school and missed it, you can catch up anytime until your 25th birthday.

The HPV vaccine helps protects against a common infection called HPV, that in some cases can lead to some types of cancer, such as cervical, head and neck.

Call the surgery to check if you have had your vaccine, and if you missed it, you can book your appointment to catch up.
For more information on HPV and the HPV vaccine see HPV vaccine - NHS
