💦💦We had a rather wet end to our Planting Day on Saturday but we were delighted to see the families who came along. We raised £120 from donations which will be given to Macmillan Cancer Support. Thank you to all those who came along and donated. The flowers from Peter the Bee and Friends looked so healthy, we look forward to seeing them flourish!💚

We also thank Shirley and Carol for their help serving teas and coffees!🩷

We are now looking forward to our Wreath Making Day on Saturday 6th December (10am to 2pm) and hope to see many of you there.🎅

Peter the Bee and Friends will be with us with native plants which can be purchased by families to plant on loved ones graves. We will be available to help if required and will have tea and coffee available.

We appreciate your help with planting only native plants on graves and remind families that other items aren’t permitted.

As the weather cools, it now feels as though we have said goodbye to Summer and that Autumn is now on its way. We'll be spending the next few weeks scything, strimming and raking to remove the long grass. Please do bear with us, we have a large site and this inevitably takes a little time. 🌳

We are looking forward to our Planting Day on 20th September from 10am to 2pm. Peter the Bee and Friends will join us at Humber Woodland with wildflower plants for families to buy and plant on their loved ones' graves. There will be tea and coffee (and biscuits!) and all are welcome.🌺🌸🌼🪻

Looking ahead to Autumn this short video gives an insight in to how Humber Woodland will look with the seasonal change in colour. We have already seen many leaves fall as the trees have tried to cope with the recent hot weather. 🍂🍂

🌸 Wildflower joy at Humber Woodland! 🌿

Humber Woodland is absolutely bursting with colour right now - a true summer spectacle! 🌼

You can spot:
• Red Campion
• Mallow
• Meadow Crane’s-bill
• Knapweed
• Oxeye Daisy
… and so many more wildflowers in full bloom!

It's been lovely to hear how much people are enjoying the woodland lately. Just this morning, while doing a few jobs, someone stopped me to say how beautiful it looks - we couldn’t agree more!✨
