We’ve had some beautifully sunny days recently, and the woodland is bursting into life. Lots of wildflowers are out, and the Oxeye daisies won’t be long 🌼💚

Here’s a look at Humber Woodland from above last summer.

Humber Woodland looking so pretty on Earth Day, an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. 💚

A wide range of colours on show from the wildflowers such as ground ivy, Lady's smock, Stitchwort, Bluebells, Dandelions, Red campion, Cowslips and more. We're looking forward to seeing the Oxeye Daisies which tend to come out across the whole field in May. 🪻🌸🌼

Earlier this week we noticed the first Red Campion of the season in flower at Humber Woodland. 🌸🌸

According the The Woodland Trust, "these flashy woodland guardians have strong links to myths and mysticism. They are favourites of plenty of woodland insects – and fairies – and bloom a cheerful pink soon after the bluebell has finished flowering."

We're looking forward to seeing many more of these in the coming weeks. 🩷

We are so pleased to see so many lovely wildflowers appearing now, especially after our Planting Day when we saw so many of you. 🌸

We had a wonderful Planting Day today, it certainly was windy but we did see the sun which was lovely!🌤️

We were so pleased to see so many visitors at Humber Woodland. Peter the Bee and Friends brought so many lovely varieties of wildflowers, we thank them for joining us again! 🌸🌷🌺

And thank you so much for all your kind donations, today we were collecting for Be More Frank, and from your donations we raised around £125 which is fantastic! ❤❤

🌸🌼🪷 We look forward to seeing many of you at our spring Planting Day on Saturday 28th March from 10am. Peter the Bee will have native wildflower plants for sale, these will all be suitable for planting on loved ones' graves.

Wegnalls Willow
