It was a privilege today to conduct the funeral for a gentleman whose wishes were to be laid to rest next to his late brother, who sadly lost his life in conflict during the 2nd World War. The beautiful headstone is recognised by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission and displays the information at the lich gate.

Funeral Bagpiping today at Llanveynoe Church (St Peter & Beunos) near . This was for a Scots lady who was born in Livingstone.

As mourners arrived I played a number of tunes, continuing as the cortege approached. Tune requests included: "The Northern Lights of Old Aberdeen", "Danny Boy", "Flowers of the Forest", "The Dark Isle", "Scotland the Brave", "The Rowan Tree" & "The Massacre of Glencoe".

The Church Entry was to: "Flower of Scotland".

After the church service, I waited at the graveside and played "Amazing Grace" for the interment.

Thereafter, I played requested tunes as mourners moved back to their cars. These tunes included: "Field of Gold" (Piobaireachd- Urlar), "The Mull of Kintyre", "The Skye Boat Song", & "The Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond".

Our Sincere Condolences to the family & many many mourners.

The St Andrew's Cross or the Saltire is the national flag for Scotland, it was draped over the coffin on this lady's final journey to the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints, Hereford adorned with a floral tribute containing Eryngium 'Sea Holly' to represent her Scottish roots 🤍
