Lovely solution focused hypnotherapy to enable you to achieve your personal goals be it a personal best or to free yourself of anxiety and over thinking.
We aim for 4 to 12 sessions to help you grow new sustainable patterns of behaviour.

I once had an enquiry from a prospective client who asked me why they should pay me if they had to do some work to make the changes..

This photo is of me at 10.30am preparing for my client at 6.30pm and then my client on Sunday; reading around the subject, updating documentation, rewriting scripts and so on. You may see me for an hour but I invest time behind the scenes to make sure you get the best quality consultations

It's still winter and we are still cwtching.and embracing hygge keeping warm. We're recovering physically and financially and finding our way into the new calendar year: changing 5 to 6 when we write the date anywhere.

Wishing you a happy day whatever you do whatever you believe.

Today can be hot and hectic..step outside slow your breathing down, in through your nose for 3 or 4 and out for 6 or 8..using your belly not your chest when you breathe in. ๐ŸŽ…๐Ÿ’œ

Reframing your unhelpful thoughts!

I haven't been a fan of November since I came out of hospital 30 years ago and struggled to regain my breath and muscle after 14 days in bed..

Not liking November isn't real its just a thought in my head..I'm 30 years older and hopefully wiser.
Today sees my reframe and am seeing the good in each day or at least each week.
The sunrise from my room and the beautiful autumn leaves are now November's blessings.
Need a hand.. helps you reframe your thoughts and behaviours. enables you to pause and just be..to cope with the days dramas

My thoughts of the year..in case you need a hand seeing the light at the end of the winter tunnel
January-full of hope for the seasons to come..cosy inside..and snowdrops start to emerge
February- a short month where pay day comes a bit quicker..or so it seems.
March ..the nights getting noticeably lighter and the spring bulbs emerge
April for me marks the launch of the fruitful year
May ..the world opens up..the countryside full of flouncy glory
June windows open and flowers starting to show their beautiful faces
July summer seems to be at its peak..bees reminding us of sweet summery treasures. Butterflies reminding us of lost one's (for me and in a good way)
August warm but nodding to the changing season and the summer has peaked and now is resting
September a hint of an Indian summer and another new (school) year starting cooler evenings and no pressure to enjoy the summer
October for me is a deep red (synaesthia reference) and the colour of the trees as they prepare for their closure
November full of earthy surprises
December..the dark before the light..hygge

It's been a bit of a time..and yet I've survived. I've spent a lot of time reminding myself of what makes me happy and what is good in life.

So, in the last 18 months I made a difficult decision that has ultimately made 2 people a lot happier, I sold my house, lived with an amazing friend until my quirky home was ready, moved into my new, old home, have spent a lot of time and money making it safe, warm and clean.

Sadly, my lovely mum passed away, annoyingly the boiler stopped producing hot water and the dog ruptured his crutiate ligament..

Don't get me wrong there have been a few tears but also lots of laughter and thoughtful words and offers of help thanks to my beautiful lovely friends, offspring and nieces in law and some other family.

If you've got this far- thank you..the point is not for sympathy but to say by finding the something to be grateful for, some lovely walks, breathing techniques especially on waking, taking a solution focused approach and using my sensible thinking bit of my brain I've survived and have been able to function.

I am aware this is nothing in comparison to what many are going through in the world.

It doesnt however have to be a major crisis that tips us over but an accumulation of small things going into the stress bucket and negative thinking that makes the bucket overflow.

Managing how we think about our situation is key to coping with life's difficulties.

If the universe is listening'that is enough now thank you. ๐ŸŒณ ๐Ÿก ๐Ÿงก

It's World Mental Health day and we are sharing some of our top tips to help you if you feel overwhelmed by the relentless negative news and global events.

Tip 1.
Focus on what you can control.

As Solution Focused Hypnotherapists this is one of our core beliefs, focusing on everything beyond your control is sure to fill you with anxiety and dread, the more we can re-direct our attention and energy to the small things we can do that will make a difference the more positive and hopeful we feel.

Start small, we don't need to tackle huge challenges or take on big tasks to make a difference, in fact we say change starts small and grows to become big and meaningful.

So what is one small thing you can do today that will make a difference to you or someone you love?

We would love to hear in the comments what you are going to focus on.

Just prepping for my last client of the day.
We will be doing a quick discussion of the vagus nerve
A breathing assessment
Practising the techniques that we will use today
Finish off with a lovely breathwork session.
Photo 1. Just me!
Photo 2. How we hold our bellies in which stops us breathing optimally
Photo 3. Getting comfortable with belly or preferably diaphragmatic breathing.
Essentially push out your abdomen when you breathe. Raising your chest and shoulders does the opposite of what you would expect
Shoulders down belly out and breathe..
