From a £30 Facebook Marketplace mobile massage bed to a team, a salon and clients travelling from across counties to find us. Here’s the story 🤍
October 2023 — I was sharing a room with two other therapists, had no clients, no money and absolutely no idea what I was doing. Just a dream and a lot of hope.
I outgrew that space faster than I expected, but taking on my own room felt terrifying. I was still working elsewhere at the time and genuinely didn’t know if I could cover the rent alone.
Theo hung the pictures. I held my breath…
February 2024 — I was finally able to quit my job. I was massaging full time, a dream come true and within four months I’d outgrown that salon too 😱 I knew I wanted to launch the Headspa, but I didn’t have the space for it there. So I took the leap.
April 2024 — We moved into our new salon. An empty room, bare floors, savings on the line and people (including me) quietly wondering if the jump was too much. We painted, we built, we stayed up late. Blood, sweat, tears and a whole lot of faith.
During all of this I was also doing mobile massage, treating clients in the most beautiful holiday lets, private homes and care homes around Hereford. It reminded me every single week why I started.
May 2024 — Soak Headspa launched. I was on holiday when I opened bookings and my phone didn’t stop pinging. I sat there barely believing it was real.
That first giveaway hit 32.9K views. Then 117K.
We were becoming obsessed with our jobs in the best possible way — the laughter, the stories, the joy in that room is honestly unmatched.
Clients started travelling from all over Wales, North Shropshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Somerset. They told their friends. Their friends told theirs. We added team members I never imagined I’d be able to have one day.
And today? We feel like we’re only just getting started 👏🏻🫶🏽
There are so many more things we want to build, so many more of you we want to meet.
Nothing is changing, we’re just getting bigger and better 🚀
