Marches Counselling Service A charity providing professional, confidential and affordable counselling and psychotherapy service for people in Herefordshire.

We don't have a waiting list and match client to counsellor. We also offer a professional network group for therapists. Marches Counselling Service is a charity that provides affordable, flexible and ethical support to adults in Herefordshire who are struggling with life issues. We provide a safe place to talk: daytimes, evenings and even Saturdays. People can contact us directly to arrange an ini

tial appointment of up to 90minutes, ongoing sessions are agreed at that meeting, if counselling is the right way forward. As Hereford is a small city, we do not offer a drop-in service, but arrange appointments in advance to preserve privacy and anonymity. Our office is staffed Mondays – Fridays between 10am – 1pm. Outside of those hours people can leave a message on our confidential telephone answer machine.

We hope you had a lovely Bank Holiday Weekend, and that the warmth and sun were peaceful and restorative☀️💐

There is an unique beauty to the Herefordshire countryside, but we also know that the rural nature of the land can be isolating for some. Those winding hedgerow lanes are picturesque, yes, but they can also be a barrier for some trying to access the services they need. The land is something from a painting, yes, but it also involves a neverending commitment with long, hard hours for those who work tirelessly to maintain it.

Whether you are in the town centre or further out, we want to reach you. We offer a streamlined assessment process, low wait times, low costs, virtual sessions if you need, and other locations to reach those further out.

Our service director attended the Men’s Mental Health Awareness Evening at the last week and wanted to share some thoughts:

“I was Inspired by the honesty, courage, and sense of community in the room. Men’s mental health is too often hidden behind silence and expectation, but this evening showed that when the right spaces are created, men do talk and powerful things happen.

I’m grateful to everyone who shared their stories and their time. Collaboration across our local services is how real change takes root.

If the evening proved anything, it’s that no one has to face things alone. Support is here, and conversations like these truly matter.”
