Residents are getting ready for upcoming celebrations. 🫣One Resident was so involved in making Bread and butter pudding, she didn't see the others were making her favourite Lemon cake 🎂! This is for her upcoming 100th birthday. I take it you will all keep the secret for us till next week! 😉

💖 Made with Love… truly 💖

The wonderful residents of Newstead Nursing Home have been extra busy this week, and our hearts are completely full. Not only have they made sweets from scratch, they’ve lovingly created the goodie bags too, pink, covered in red hearts, and finished with the perfect message: “Made with Love.”

And love is exactly what’s gone into every single one 💕

One of the residents helping out is nearly 100 years old and still rolling up her sleeves to give back to the community, proof that kindness has no age limit and generosity never retires.

To all the residents at Newstead: thank you for your thoughtfulness, your time, and your huge hearts. Your beautiful gifts mean more to us and to our guests at Lee’s Place than you’ll ever know 💙

We had Diana visit for some Harp therapy. 🎼 Residents relaxed to the beautiful sounds of the harp. We got to have a little go too, some residents were naturals 😊

Residents have been extra busy! They have not only made sweets from scratch but the goodie bags they will be put in. Residents are able to chat and have spiritual guidance from our Lovely Reverend Andy. St Peter's and St James, Hereford 🙏 Those that couldn't attend and wanted to see Reverend Andy, are able to have one to one time. We are so grateful for your visits, thank you for giving us your time.💛

Newstead residents requested a good old fashioned game of Balloon tennis. 🎈Residents used hands, feet and a few heads to keep the Balloon in the air. Proving the simple things can bring great joy and laughter 😀

Our friends the Gadzukes Ukulele Players came to Newstead House for the first performance of the year!🥰 They got our toes tapping and some bottoms out of seats dancing, to their fabulous performance. 😁

We have been keeping busy at Newstead House. Residents are back to baking for . 🍞 We have managed to get out for some lovely walks too. The simple pleasure of fresh air and the big outdoors 😊
