🎉 Exciting News from Relax and Heal Massage Therapy! 🎉

Happy November!

It’s been a long while since I’ve posted, but behind the scenes, big things have been going on…

🌿 After 10 wonderful years working from my spare room, I’m thrilled to announce that in 2026, Relax and Heal will be stepping into a brand-new Garden Therapy Room!

Construction is set to begin January 5th and will take 4 – 6 weeks to complete, and I’m also working on online booking, expanded availability, and new treatment options to serve you even better for the next 10 years hopefully!

After recovering from surgery, losing Luna and being on holiday I am finally back to work as normal, I think I have got in touch with everyone to get booked in but if you would like to book in please get in touch.

Also, I'd like to introduce Bear, who you are welcome to meet when you come to your appointment.

Happy Friday everyone 🌞

Just a couple of reminders:

1. Roadworks ⛔️ - The road is closed from the hospice onwards so you are only able to get to me coming from Hereford city centre via Lugg Flats or cutting through Whitestone from the Worcester road. This in place for 6 weeks 24/7.

2. As most of you know, I will be taking 4-6 weeks off from Wednesday 28th August so if you would like to get an appointment booked in before I'm off I do still have some availability, just drop me a message.

If you need to cancel your appointment please provide at least 12 hours notice so I can fill your slot 😊

I will be available for PT Sessions from Mid September so if this is something you have been considering then get in touch 💪

Oncology (Cancer) Massage Therapy Course Complete.

A intense 3 days to round up months of theory with a group of great therapists and taught by Susan Findlay - a top lead figure in this field.

✅️ Why did I do it?
Cancer is a contraindication for massage therapy - meaning if someone who has cancer would likely be turned away for a massage. Something they may have been looking to attend to feel better, have a distraction from their diagnosis or to help provide some tempoary relief from their symptoms.

✅️ Why is it different to Sports Massage?
The application and speed of pressure is more mindful - taking out the mechanical approach and working more with the nervous system to encourage a relaxation response in the tissue and through out the body to ensure no further stress is added. Having the knowledge to make adaptions and modifications depending on the clients current stage of treatment and health e.g positioning to work around surgical sites and equipment, awareness of symptoms during chemo/radiotherapy.

So what's next... I am keen to begin working with people who could benefit from this therapy so if you would like to know more for yourself or someone you know please do get in contact and I can provide more information.
