Do you ever notice your neck feeling stiff after a long day of sitting? 💻
Whether you’re working at a desk, driving, or curled up on the sofa, spending lots of time seated can leave the neck feeling tight, achy and restricted. Over time, our posture can start to be affected too ⚠️
Swipe ⬅️ to help ease that neck tension in 3 easy steps, repeating each exercise around 8-10 times ideally:
1. Find a comfy spot and start by lengthening your neck, think about pulling your shoulders down away from your ears. Gently move your head side to side to look over each shoulder, keeping the chin at the same height.
2. “Listen to your shoulder” by looking ahead and bringing the ear towards one shoulder at a time- keep the movement slow and steady and watch those shoulders don’t raise here.
3. Lower your chin to your chest and then roll the jaw along the collar bone until you are listening to your shoulder. Repeat the jaw roll round to the other side.
