Do you ever notice your neck feeling stiff after a long day of sitting? 💻

Whether you’re working at a desk, driving, or curled up on the sofa, spending lots of time seated can leave the neck feeling tight, achy and restricted. Over time, our posture can start to be affected too ⚠️

Swipe ⬅️ to help ease that neck tension in 3 easy steps, repeating each exercise around 8-10 times ideally:

1. Find a comfy spot and start by lengthening your neck, think about pulling your shoulders down away from your ears. Gently move your head side to side to look over each shoulder, keeping the chin at the same height.

2. “Listen to your shoulder” by looking ahead and bringing the ear towards one shoulder at a time- keep the movement slow and steady and watch those shoulders don’t raise here.

3. Lower your chin to your chest and then roll the jaw along the collar bone until you are listening to your shoulder. Repeat the jaw roll round to the other side.

My class cue: “Turn yourself into a Swiss roll…“ or more commonly known as a spinal roll down into a deep curl squat - I absolutely love this one, alongside every other stretch I teach of course 😂
�It’s nothing particularly fancy but it’s a wonderful way of gently keeping the spine, hips and knees and ankles moving in the way they’re designed to. When these areas stay mobile, everyday things feel so much easier: bending down, getting up, walking, standing, sitting… all of it! �
It’s not about forcing flexibility, it’s about giving your body regular movement to help you feel free and less stiff in your day to day life 💜

This is the focus of my Stretch For Wellness classes — simple, feel‑good mobility that supports real life.

All abilities welcome whatever stage of mobility you are at ☺️

My Pilates & Playdates class is all about providing some movement time for you in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and the chance to connect with other adults without any pressure. (Not that conversation with the littles is lacking, but you understand right?) 😂

Come as you are, move at your own pace, enjoy a bit of a social, and soak up some well-deserved me time while your little ones have a chance to play 💕

Hello to my new followers!
It’s been a while since I did one of these, so “hey- I’m Beth!” 👋

Here are a few little facts about me ⬇️

✨ I’m a qualified Dance and Pilates instructor with a real passion for all things movement. I also previously worked for 15 years as an holistic massage therapist and reflexologist, which really shaped my understanding of the body and how it moves.

🩰 I taught my first Productive Wellbeing classes in June 2024, and this year marks 12 years of teaching ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary dance at Dance Fusion.

🎶 Music and dance are my medicine- catch me on a bad day and you’ll find me with my earbuds in, dancing it out 🎧

💜 Mum to one very mischievous and cheerful little boy, and married to my husband for 11 years this year… although, if we’re being honest, he’s been ‘putting up with me’ for a good 9 years before that too 😆

⭐️ I can be a little stubborn when it comes to giving up on things- I’m definitely someone who believes in second (and sometimes third!) chances. Not sure if that’s one of my best or worst traits!

🔥 One of my favourite parts of what I do is seeing my clients grow in confidence and ability during my classes- it’s honestly the most rewarding feeling watching that progress happen over time 🥰

📚 I love learning and often take on new projects (no matter how time-consuming!). Last year, I completed my Level 3 Counselling qualification and I’m hoping to continue my training in the near future.

📝 I have a slight obsession with stationery… lifestyle planners, diaries, notebooks,- anything to help with productivity, I have to have it! To-do lists are my best friend.

💪 I like to think of myself as an independent woman when it comes to DIY tasks… however, reality occasionally has other plans 😅

That’s enough about me for now…

Complete beginner to Pilates? No worries at all- I always take the time to explain exercises properly so no one feels left behind. And if it means I need to re-explain a technique 100 times more- I’ll do it ☺️

And honestly, even my more advanced Pilates peeps benefit from going back to the basics sometimes. It’s so easy to get carried away with the more complex exercises and forget where the real focus of the movement actually is.

Sometimes the simplest exercises are actually the ones that are benefiting you the most ✨
