This month's dining experience was a true celebration of British classics! 🇬🇧 Residents at The Weir enjoyed a magnificent Sunday roast with all the trimmings, listened to Elgar, and celebrated all things British. 😋🍗👑🎶 A wonderfully traditional and delicious afternoon for all!

National Gingerbread Day went down a treat! 🍪 We all got involved in mixing, rolling and cutting out our dough into all sorts of shapes – from caterpillars and little men to trees and circles. It was such a fun, festive activity and the perfect treat to enjoy with a cup of tea. ☕️🌟

Balloons, bunting and all things birthday! 🎉 We love celebrating birthdays here at The Weir. Our chef bakes a delicious cake, Clare works her magic with the decorations, and everyone comes together for a big sing-along - it really makes the day extra special. 💛✨

Yesterday, we celebrated James’ birthday, and he kindly shared his cake with everyone in the home. A lovely moment full of smiles and community spirit! 🎂🎈 Happy Birthday James! 🥰

✨ National Princess Day! ✨
We’ll take any excuse for a bit of fun and today was no exception!

Huw Knight filled the home with classic British favourites for our themed dining day this month, while staff and residents embraced their inner royalty with tiaras, laughter and plenty of singing.

National Button Day yesterday gave us the perfect excuse to get the glue out! 🖍️ The residents had lots of fun and laughter, creating their crafty masterpieces. 🎨 And to finish off, Amy the chef made us all a delicious chocolate button cake - yum! 🍫🎂😋

Always a favourite visitor, Willow was back for a visit recently — and she brought smiles to everyone’s faces! 🐾💛 Our residents were thrilled to see her, and as always, she was such a well-behaved and gentle girl. 🐶✨

Happy World Kindness Day! We celebrated in a truly heartwarming way! 💛🌍✨ Our residents and staff all answered the question, “How do you show kindness?”, and the responses were absolutely lovely. 💬💖 Each answer was written on a heart and posted around the home for everyone to read and enjoy - spreading positivity and smiles wherever you look! 🌸😊 A wonderful reminder that even the smallest acts of kindness can make the biggest difference. 💐

Ghost-hunting wish granted! 👻🌟 Today we had a special visit from Becky from The Ghost Tour of Hereford , who came to make one of our residents’ wishes come true — all things ghost-related! 🕯️✨ Malcolm, who has spent plenty of time on the hunt for ghosts (and even once slept in Hereford Cathedral hoping to spot one!), was thrilled to meet Becky. She gave a fascinating talk about the spooky tales of Hereford and had a great chat with Malcolm about his ghost-hunting adventures. 💬😄 He was absolutely delighted with his surprise and thoroughly enjoyed the morning! 👻⛪️
