NOTICE: We have added a new neurodivergent friendly section to our online consultation form (Klinik)

✅ This is for people who are neurodivergent.

✅ It gives kind and supportive wording.

✅ It makes online medical forms easier to use and less scary

✅It allows our neurodivergent patients to express themselves in a way they find best!

👥 We proudly made this together with a Patient Participation Group member who is autistic and helped us check the wording!

Organ Donation Week, 22nd - 28th September:

Turn the sky pink this Organ Donation Week to remember those who died waiting for a transplant.

Sadly, someone will die today waiting for a transplant, and most of us would accept an organ if we needed one. It takes just two minutes for someone to confirm their decision on the NHS Organ Donor Register. https://www.nhsbt.nhs.uk/how-you-can-help/get-involved/tips-and-guidance/turn-the-skies-pink-for-organ-donation-week/

Did you know, one donor can save or transform up to nine lives through organ donation? By saying yes to organ donation, you could give someone else a second chance at life. All adults in England are now considered to have agreed to be an organ donor when they die unless they’ve recorded a decision not to donate or are in one of the excluded groups. It’s never been easier to show you support donation; simply update the details in your NHS App. https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/nhs-app-help-and-support/nhs-app-account-and-settings/organ-donation/

💙 Practice Update 💙

This morning we are experiencing a number of last-minute GP absences, which means things may be busier than usual.

Please be assured we will continue to triage all requests so that anyone with an urgent medical need will be prioritised.

If your query is not urgent, it would really help us if you could wait until later in the week to get in touch.

Thank you for your patience and support – it makes a real difference to our team and to other patients. 🙏

Youth Mental Health Day, 19th September:

Did you know one in five 8-25-year-olds have a mental health disorder? Yet, only 40% are able to access effective treatment? This year’s Youth Mental Health Day theme is ‘Share Support’. Studies show that peer support can be associated with reductions in depression and anxiety in young people, and when young people share their own coping strategies and recommendations, it not only empowers them but also provides others with relatable, practical tools to help with their challenges.

Join us on 19th September: this year’s YMHD theme, Share Support, encourages us all to connect, share, and access clinically-informed mental health resources.

Sexual Health Week, 15th - 21st September

The internet is shaping how we learn, talk and think about s*x and relationships. This Sexual Health Week, we focus on ‘Chronically Online’.

How do we empower young people to challenge what they see online? We can discover how integrating digital and face-to-face s*xual health services can help to address health inequalities and share the voices of those using their platforms to combat stigma and misinformation online.

Rheumatoid Arthritis Awareness Week, 15th - 19th September

This Rheumatoid Arthritis Awareness Week, we’re focusing on rheumatoid arthritis (RA) – a serious autoimmune condition that’s often misunderstood. RA isn’t just “aches and pains”. It’s chronic, it’s painful, and it can affect every part of a person’s life.
Let’s dispel the myths, raise awareness and support the millions living with RA every day.

Since the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) was founded in 2001, one of our key aims has been to increase public understanding and awareness of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) as distinct from other forms of arthritis.
