Valentine’s Day preparations are well underway at Lynhales Hall 💕
Residents enjoyed getting creative by making a Valentine’s tree using branches gathered from our own grounds. Cutting out hearts, choosing thoughtful messages, and hanging them on the tree gave everyone the chance to share kind words for others to read and enjoy.

A lovely activity that brought creativity, connection, and plenty of smiles — and a beautiful reminder of the joy found in sharing kind messages with one another.

📰 The Latest Edition of The Rotherwood Times 📰

Residents at Lynhales Hall have been enjoying reading the latest edition of the company newspaper, The Rotherwood Times.

Jeff particularly enjoyed looking back through the pages, spotting photos of himself and reminiscing about our fantastic 50s-themed New Year’s Day celebrations. It sparked some lovely memories and conversations among residents.

Getting Olympic Ready at Lynhales Hall

Residents at Lynhales Hall have been busy preparing for the Olympics with a fun and creative activity, colouring and cutting out rings to make our very own Olympic-inspired fabric.

Jeff particularly enjoyed cutting out the rings and carefully sticking them onto a sheet to create a colourful flag. It was a lovely, hands-on activity that encouraged creativity, focus and plenty of conversation as we got into the Olympic spirit together.

National Storytelling Week at Lynhales Hall.

To mark National Storytelling Week, we took some time out to sit with our residents and share stories together. Listening to familiar tales allowed everyone to relax, free the mind, and be gently transported away from the everyday, even if just for a short while.

A simple story can spark memories, comfort, and connection — and it was lovely to see how much these moments were enjoyed.

We celebrated Hot Chocolate Day 2026 at Lynhales Hall with a cosy and delicious treat.

Residents were treated to hot chocolates and loved being able to personalise their drinks, choosing from a selection of toppings and sauces to make them just the way they like them. From sweet additions to extra indulgent finishes, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

A lovely, warming way to celebrate a much-loved day and enjoy time together.

The excitement is building at Lynhales Hall as we prepare for the upcoming Six Nations Rugby.

Residents have been getting creative by colouring in rugby balls, goal posts, and rugby players as we get ready to cheer on our teams. It’s been a great way to spark conversation, creativity, and plenty of rugby chat ahead of the matches.

We’re all looking forward to the tournament — let the games begin!

Our residents enjoyed a relaxing and creative colouring session, bringing beautiful bird pictures to life with colour. It was a lovely, calm activity that encouraged creativity, conversation and plenty of smiles.

Sometimes the simplest moments are the most enjoyable.

Board Game Fun at Lynhales Hall ♟️🎲

A spontaneous afternoon of board games brought out everyone’s competitive side at Lynhales Hall! Residents enjoyed challenging both staff and friends to a variety of games, with plenty of laughter and friendly rivalry along the way.

A simple afternoon, full of fun and great company.

Big Garden Birdwatch at Lynhales Hall

After spending time preparing for the Big Garden Birdwatch, our residents were delighted to take part last weekend. Everyone enjoyed spotting and counting the birds visiting our garden, sharing observations and plenty of conversation along the way.

It was a lovely, calm activity that brought residents together and encouraged a closer connection with nature.

Celebrating Burns Night at Lynhales Hall

We enjoyed a wonderful Burns Night celebration at Lynhales Hall, with the amazing sound of bagpipes echoing through the home — a moment that truly captured everyone’s attention and brought plenty of smiles from our residents.

Residents were treated to a traditional haggis lunch, with the option of a wee dram of whisky for those who wished, making it a truly authentic and enjoyable celebration. A memorable day filled with music, tradition, and great company.
