We celebrated Hot Chocolate Day 2026 at Lynhales Hall with a cosy and delicious treat.

Residents were treated to hot chocolates and loved being able to personalise their drinks, choosing from a selection of toppings and sauces to make them just the way they like them. From sweet additions to extra indulgent finishes, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

A lovely, warming way to celebrate a much-loved day and enjoy time together.

The excitement is building at Lynhales Hall as we prepare for the upcoming Six Nations Rugby.

Residents have been getting creative by colouring in rugby balls, goal posts, and rugby players as we get ready to cheer on our teams. It’s been a great way to spark conversation, creativity, and plenty of rugby chat ahead of the matches.

We’re all looking forward to the tournament — let the games begin!

Creative Moments at Lynhales Hall.

Our residents enjoyed a relaxing and creative colouring session, bringing beautiful bird pictures to life with colour. It was a lovely, calm activity that encouraged creativity, conversation and plenty of smiles.

Sometimes the simplest moments are the most enjoyable.

Board Game Fun at Lynhales Hall ♟️🎲

A spontaneous afternoon of board games brought out everyone’s competitive side at Lynhales Hall! Residents enjoyed challenging both staff and friends to a variety of games, with plenty of laughter and friendly rivalry along the way.

Big Garden Birdwatch at Lynhales Hall

After spending time preparing for the Big Garden Birdwatch, our residents were delighted to take part last weekend. Everyone enjoyed spotting and counting the birds visiting our garden, sharing observations and plenty of conversation along the way.

It was a lovely, calm activity that brought residents together and encouraged a closer connection with nature.

Celebrating Burns Night at Lynhales Hall

We enjoyed a wonderful Burns Night celebration at Lynhales Hall, with the amazing sound of bagpipes echoing through the home — a moment that truly captured everyone’s attention and brought plenty of smiles from our residents.

Residents were treated to a traditional haggis lunch, with the option of a wee dram of whisky for those who wished, making it a truly authentic and enjoyable celebration. A memorable day filled with music, tradition, and great company.

A Thoughtful Gesture at Lynhales Hall

We were kindly gifted a beautiful selection of flowers by a generous family member, which our residents enjoyed using for a flower arranging activity. It was wonderful to watch everyone concentrating, chatting, and sharing stories as they created their own stunning arrangements.

A truly relaxing and joyful activity that filled the room with colour, conversation, and smiles.

Preparing for RSPB Weekend at Lynhales Hall

Our residents have been busy preparing for RSPB Big Birdwatch 2026, making fat balls using seeds and nuts, along with monkey nut feeders to help care for local wildlife. Many of our residents come from rural backgrounds and are passionate about protecting and supporting the wildlife around us.

Jeff really channelled his creative side, kindly showing Sam and Mick how to make the perfect fat balls for the birds. And while it’s not always easy for Pat to find the right words, her smile said everything — a lovely reflection of the joy shared during the activity.

A wonderful afternoon of creativity, teamwork, and caring for nature.

A Fantastic Afternoon of Music & Sing-Along

We had a wonderful afternoon enjoying live music and a sing-along with our fantastic musician Sean Saye. From classic favourites of the 1950s right through to present-day hits, residents loved joining in, singing along, and soaking up the joyful atmosphere.

With great music, smiles all around, and refreshments to enjoy, it was a truly uplifting and feel-good afternoon for everyone involved.

Getting Ready for RSPB Weekend at Lynhales Hall

We’ve been busy preparing for RSPB Weekend starting on 23rd January, and it’s been a lovely, hands-on activity for our residents. In the photo is Angie from Herefordshire Growing Point in Credenhill, who kindly joined us to help create bird feeders and share her knowledge.

We also found a creative way to recycle our Christmas tree, turning it into handmade bird feeders to encourage a wide variety of wild birds into our gardens.

Our residents are really looking forward to watching the birds visit over the coming weeks – binoculars at the ready!
