FAQ: At what age should I first get my horse treated?
Answer: As soon as it is safe to do so.

I’m often asked this question and having given two unbroken youngsters their first treatments today I thought it was worth a mention.
Why do we get our horses routinely treated? To identify and rectify any potential issue that may impact athletic ability and development. However, think about it… when does your horse do most of its developing physically? When it’s young! Yep, before it’s even ridden!
During those preridden years it’s vitally important to regularly assess and treat horses. As long as your horse is used to being handled it’s a great idea to introduce a practitioner who can make their first treatment a pleasant and relaxing experience. They can begin to build a relationship with them in the early years and also help highlight and monitor any potential issues.
Of course youngsters will be youngsters. They can be more unpredictable than older horses and generally their patience for standing still can be limited! But as always appointments are adapted to the individual to achieve the greatest benefit whilst keeping them happy and everyone safe 🙂

17.5 in (would estimate it’s wide) Sue Carson saddle FLOCKED (not air)
Super comfy saddle with moveable knee blocks. Nice wide gullet to give space for the spine.
Although it is wide it has a narrow twist (the bit you sit on) so doesn’t feel like a wide saddle - great if you have it on a broad beast or you have dodgy hips! The mono flap style also gives you a closer feel.
Happy for friends/clients to try it if they are interested. £475 but open to offers as I would rather it went to a good home than sit and gather dust ☺️
