Our bespoke service enables our happy clients to choose exactly what they want in their lives, with support available at any time of day or night. Katherine Harriet staff are highly trained in all areas of care and can support all levels of needs. Clients include people living with Dementia, people with mental, physical or learning disabilities, frailty, palliative and End of Life, stroke support, post-hospital rehabilitation and any person who wants as little or much support as they need, whatever their circumstance.

Our Annual Christmas Lunch will take place on Wednesday, the 10th of December, and will be an afternoon filled with laughter, warmth, and seasonal cheer.

This event is one of our favourite traditions, a chance to bring together our clients and our wonderful Wellbeing Assistants who support them.

It’s National Diabetes month! We wanted to raise awareness for the chronic condition that impacts around 4.9 million people in the UK.

Meet Victoria, Mentor at KH who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when she was 13. This is when your body cannot produce enough insulin (if any at all) to keep glucose levels within a safe range. Victoria manages this by an insulin pump on a daily basis.

It’s really valuable having Victoria on team as we have many Clients living with Diabetes and she is able to share her experiences, encourage people to seek medical advice and help with prevention and care.

STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK
Last week, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate and thank our amazing team for the incredible work they do every single day.
At KH we cover all areas throughout Herefordshire, operating 24 hours a day and this being only possible with our strong, compassionate team of over 55 staff.

Each and every one of our team is the heartbeat of our service, and we couldn’t be prouder of the commitment and kindness they show.

During the week, our Mentor Team surprised our staff with various gifts, which made their day! Our team go above and beyond to support our Clients day to day so it was great to take this opportunity and say thank you.

Keep Warm This Winter with a Little Extra Care

As the temperatures drops, it’s more important than ever to stay warm and safe at home.

Our caring team is here to help — from making a warm cuppa to ensuring heating is on and blankets are snug!

Here are a few tips to help you or a loved one stay warm this winter:

Keep your home heated to at least 18°C (65°F).
Eat regularly, eat warm meals, and stay hydrated.
Wear layers and comfy socks to trap heat.
Close curtains at dusk to keep the warmth in.
Don’t hesitate to ask for help — call our office and speak to our friendly team!

Together, we can make sure everyone stays safe, warm, and cared for this winter.

HALLOWEEN As Halloween approaches, the excitement of trick-or-treating can bring fun and joy to children and families. However, it can also pose challenges for the vulnerable members of our community, including the elderly, those living alone, or individuals with health concerns.

To help protect our Clients and vulnerable people in our community, we’ve created a simple poster that you can display at your home to indicate that you prefer not to receive trick-or-treaters.
