PARKINSON’S AWARENESS WEEK
Living with Parkinson’s can bring daily challenges, from changes in mobility to managing routines. Having care at home can make a real difference - offering support with everyday tasks, building confidence and helping people stay safe in the comfort of their familiar environment.

It’s not just about practical help, it’s about dignity, independence and knowing you’re not facing it alone. Patience is one of the most valuable qualities you can offer when supporting someone with Parkinson’s.

April 11th was chosen as World Parkinson’s Day as it was the birthday of James Parkinson, the first man to recognise the condition in his essay on ‘The Shaking Palsy’, published in 1817.
If you would like more information on how we can support you or a loved one with Parkinson’s, please call us on 01432 483083.

For more useful resources and learning more about the condition, please see

Sundowning in dementia is something many families quietly struggle with.
As the day turns into evening, a person living with dementia may become more confused, anxious, restless, or even agitated. This is known as sundowning, and it can be one of the most challenging parts of supporting a loved one.
In domiciliary care, understanding these changes is key. Simple, compassionate approaches can make a real difference:
• Keep routines consistent and predictable
• Reduce noise and stimulation in the evening
• Use soft lighting to ease the transition from day to night
• Offer reassurance, not correction
• Ensure the person feels safe, comfortable, and supported

If you or a loved one could benefit from extra support at home, please don’t hesitate to reach out we’re here to help.

For more information on how we can help call 01432 483 083 and speak with Becky or Michelle.

TODAY we’re proud to celebrate our incredible Client, Brendon Feeley, who has published his own book focused on mental health and wellbeing.

This work shines a light on an incredibly important topic and a powerful way to help others open up honest conversations about challenges many people face, based on his own experiences.

Writing a book takes courage, dedication and passion - we are proud and honoured to be able to highlight this today. 💚
