John Kemps thoroughly enjoyed taking part in a wonderful wreath-making afternoon with the lovely Joy at Sincerely Yours Florist. Each wreath was made with joy and love, all in preparation to be gifted to local care homes for residents to enjoy this Christmas. ❤️✨

A huge thank-you to Joy at Sincerely Yours Florist for supplying everything we needed and teaching us how to make such beautiful wreaths. And a big thank you to the Duke of Cumberland for kindly allowing us to use their beautiful function room (The Boatyard) for the afternoon.

Yesterday we were honoured to host our Advent Winter Memorial Service at St Martins Church, Herne, a heartfelt time to come together and remember loved ones 🎄

A special thank you to Reverend Chris Denyer, who led the service so beautifully, and to their wonderful Residents’ Band for filling the room with Christmas carols that made the evening even more meaningful.

We would also like to give a huge thank you to Ashleigh the Celebrant-Whitstable & Beyond for delivering such a thoughtful and moving reading.

We warmly invite you to join us for our Memorial Service, a time to gather, reflect, and honour those we hold close in our hearts.
📍 St Martins Church, Herne
📅 Sunday 30th November 2025
🕔 3.00pm - 5.00pm

Join us for a warm and comforting service featuring much-loved carols performed by the resident band and a candle-lighting tribute in honour of all those we hold in our hearts.

As we approach what can be a difficult time of year for many, this gathering offers an opportunity for our community to come together in support of one another.

After the service, everyone is invited to stay for refreshments and mince pies.

Today we joined the Armistice Day service outside Whitstable Library 🇬🇧 Led by Rev. Rachel Webbley vicar at St. Alphege Church.
It was a beautiful and moving tribute to all those who have fallen in service to our country.
We were proud to stand alongside so many members of the community in remembrance and gratitude, and place a wreath on the memorial 🌺
