Oasis Care Group consists of 4 residential homes: Lyndhurst Rest Home Limited (Whitstable), High Pines Rest Home Limited (Herne Bay), Tarry's Residential Home Limited (Herne Bay) and Saxon Lodge Residential Home Limited (Bridge, Canterbury). Our care homes strives to provide high quality care and ensures the needs of residents are met. The key aspect to achieving this, is the close and continuous
involvement of residents, internal and external teams, family and friends of the residents. The Oasis Care Group welcomes all individuals and achieves patient centred care by promoting independence and choice, decision making, respecting dignity, supporting and listening carefully, and offers excellent stimulating activities throughout the week. It is our responsibility to provide warmth and companionship to promote health and wellbeing, and help to overcome challenges including loneliness and boredom. We believe old age should be celebrated with continued learning, inclusiveness and enablement, which are fundamental to achieving a meaningful life. These are key factors woven into each resident’s care plans. Our management teams acknowledge that the correct working culture is crucial. Alongside shared purposes and visions, supporting and educating staff, motivating and understanding staff roles and utilising policies and researched frameworks this leads to more effective caring systems. In addition retaining creativity and energy to lead and nurture a team of people, who can familiarise and understand these goals and the concept of providing care for older people, will result in excellent care being provided to residents. The Oasis Care Group carries out significant “Life Story” work jointly with the residents, Activity Manager and Activity Coordinators to help staff gain more knowledge about the residents’ backgrounds, particularly hobbies and pastimes. Consequently this enables the team to provide and encourage involvement in stimulating activities which are enjoyable and of interest to them.
