This morning we had a fantastic musical instrument session in our Cypress suite, the residents shook their instruments, moved their bodies and sang along to music from the 50s & 60s, there were lots of smiles and laughter and everyone enjoyed the session

Yesterday we continued our Diwali celebrations with our wonderful carer Fatema giving a Henna demonstration. The residents throughly enjoyed hearing about the traditions of Henna and receiving some beautiful designs

This morning we had the beautiful Nellie the PAT dog come and visit us, to say hello to all residents and staff, getting fed treats and lots of fuss! 🐶

To continue on with our Diwali celebrations we started Rangoli pictures this morning. This afternoon we exercised our bodies and minds in Active Body Active Mind and then returned to our Rangoli pictures to complete completed them

Today we celebrated our wonderful Julie and John's birthdays 🎂. Happy birthday to you both, we hope you have both had lovely birthdays. # birthday

This afternoon our head chef Chris prepared and made onion bhajis with the residents to celebrate international chef day. The residents throughly enjoyed tucking into the lovely Indian cuisine after they were cooked. Thanks were given to Chris for not just providing great food today but everyday.

This morning to celebrate international chefs day we joined together with a cup of tea and begun our Heritage Cookbook. We discussed our favourite foods and recipes many of them were from our childhoods. It stirred lots of memories from times gone by resulting in lots of smiles, laughter and sharing of stories

💙Alice Court Take Fundraising to New Heights for International Animal Rescue 💙

In celebration of World Animal Day, General Manager, Michelle Love-Patel, from Alice Court Care Home - Avery Collection, is preparing for the ultimate challenge - abseiling off the stunning Peacehaven Cliffs.

Michelle is taking on this daring feat to raise money and awareness for International Animal Rescue, a charity dedicated to protecting animals in need across the globe. 🐒

“This is such an important cause,” said Michelle. “I’m thrilled to be able to take part in something that not only pushes me out of my comfort zone but also supports vulnerable animals who desperately need our help.”

🎉 Grand Opening at Springwood Corner Care Home! 🎉

Springwood Corner Care Home - Avery Collection, a brand-new 62-bed care home in Gravesend, celebrated its grand opening on Thursday 11th September 2025 with a fun 1940s-themed event 🕺💃.

Over 200 guests, including Avery Healthcare executives, local residents, and community leaders, joined the celebration, featuring a plaque unveiling by Mayor Jenny Wallis, a red-carpet welcome, canapés, prosecco, live entertainment, and even a stilt walker! ✨
