Why Pain May Only Show on One Side of the Body 🌀

As a sports therapist, I’ve often wondered why some people experience pain on just one side. Tests and scans might come back “normal,” leaving us puzzled. But over time, I’ve realised that sometimes the answer isn’t just physical—it’s energy.

We all carry both masculine and feminine energies within us, and when these energies are out of balance, it can show up as pain.

The right side is often linked with masculine energy action, logic, and doing while the left side represents the feminine intuition, receptivity, and being.

When one side of the body becomes overwhelmed or underactive, it can manifest as tension, discomfort, or chronic pain. It’s not just the muscles or bones it’s the imbalance between these internal forces that might be at play.

So, if you’re experiencing pain on one side, it could be a signal from your body to check in with your energy. Is it time to reconnect with your intuition or maybe take more action toward your goals? Our bodies often hold the answers we seek.

It typically persists past the time of expected normal healing (3-6+ months) Often considered a diseased state where the brain has become hypersensitive to even slight touch or movement signals.

What is the pain cycle?

After healing of an initial injury, the brain can get used to being in pain. Sounds strange?

Any sensation or movement from the previously injured area can cause anxiety that these sensations are causing damage to body tissues.

In short, pathways in the brain can rewire to become more sensitive to sensation or movement.

How do we break the cycle?

🌱 Knowledge - understand pain doesn’t always mean damage, pain is a signal. Understand that your fears, anxiety and misconceptions can be having an impact.

🌿 Physical exercise and therapy, learning that safe movement is ok. Strengthening the body can help rewire the brain to let it know it’s ok.

Adiós amigos.

So I’ve got one more day of work left but my diary is closed and I’ll be packing up my room tomorrow.

I’ll be spending 6 months away.. in case you haven’t heard 🏖️🤣

I can’t believe the time has come, I said to you all about moving to Ibiza last summer and I knew that telling people would mean I would more than likely do it… but I did think hmm would I.

But thank you for your ongoing support with everything, you guys mean a lot to me. I have felt very appreciated these last few weeks, which means a lot.

If you want to do something but it’s a big change/ risk just do it. You won’t know until you try it.

(Next tattoo no regrets on my forehead)
