Marisa's Reflexology

Marisa's Reflexology Marisa is a mobile reflexologist for feet, hands and ears and Indian Head Massage therapist and Spir Reflexology works through nerve endings and reflex points.

The actual technique is unique as it affects the reflex and not just the surface of the skin. Pressure sensors in the feet and hands are a part of the body's reflexive response that makes possible the "fight or flight" reaction to danger. Reflexology taps into this reflex network, providing an exercise of pressure sensors and thus the internal organs to which they are inextricably tied. Indian Head Massage has advantages over a full body massage as it is less intimate and a good introduction to massage for a reserved person. The treatment is usually worked on bare shoulders using oils or if preferred it can be carried out whilst wearing clothes. It starts with a massage to the back neck and shoulders, moves onto your scalp and then onto the face.

I'm a mobile therapist and happily carry out the treatment in your own home. I am also a therapist with the Harmony Therapy Trust, giving treatment to people with life changing illness.

Every time I park here I feel the need to take a few deep breaths and take a photo of this view. Despite the rainy gloom it is beautiful in a uniquely British way. We are so lucky to live by the sea and be able to enjoy its naturally healing wholesomeness

Starting the new working year with a banana and a cuppa ☕🍌
Back in a sensible scrub top, Christmas penguins packed away until next time 🐧

Stolen.

🎄The sleigh was polished, the runners were greased
The noise in the workshop had finally ceased
But Santa sat down with a groan and a sigh, Looking down at his boots with a watery eye.
"My ankles are swollen, my arches are flat, I can’t climb a chimney with feet feeling like that! The list is too long, and the rooftops too steep, I need fixing up before children handle sleep."

⛄️So he hobbled away from the snow and the ice to a treatment room smelling of ginger and spice.
He sat in the chair, reclined back so deep, while the smell of lavender lulled him toward sleep. Off came the boots, heavy, black, and leather
Off came the socks, knit for Arctic weather.❄️

The therapist smiled, eager and ready👣
Her thumbs were prepared, her pressure was steady
She started gently, a warm-up, a glide, Santa let out a "Ho-Ho" from deep inside
"We’ll start with the Big Toe," she said with a twist👣
"To clear up your head for the Naughty and Nice list
We need mental clarity, focus, and brain
To remember the map and the name of each rein."🎄

She walked down the foot to the Ball and the pad,
"Your lungs are congested, it feels a bit bad. Too much soot from the flues, too much ash, too much dust?
Let’s open the chest, that is simply a must."
She pressed on the point and he took a deep breath, Feeling lighter and freer, no longer near death.

Then down to the Instep, the curve of the bone
Where the stress of the heavy red sack had been sown.
"The Spine Reflex here is tight as a drum, from carrying toys for each finger and thumb."
She worked out the crystals, the crunch and the grind, leaving the tension and backache behind.

She pressed on the Heel for the lower back’s sake, and found the Adrenals—to keep him awake.
"You’ve a long night ahead, flying East to the West, we’ll boost up your energy to be at its best."
A surge went through Santa, a tingle, a spark,
Like a lightbulb igniting alone in the dark.

He wiggled his toes, pink, nimble, and fresh,
Renewed in his spirit, restored in his flesh.
He pulled on his socks with a vigorous tug,
And gave the therapist a giant bear hug.
"My boots feel spacious! My balance is true! I feel like I’m dancing, and it’s all thanks to you."

He marched to the sleigh with a spring in his gait, ☃️
The reindeer were ready, no longer a wait.
He called to the elves,
"I’m lighter than air! I could dance on a rooftop with nary a care!"
And they heard him exclaim, as he flew out of sight, 🎅🏻
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a Good Night! ...But book me again for the twenty-sixth night!"🎅🏻
