Exhausted but can’t actually switch off?
Yep- it’s the nervous system staying on high alert to keep you safe.
Even though you ‘know’ you’re safe, your body needs somatic signals; you can’t think your way into relaxation.
If you start becoming aware of those moments or glimmers of calm, when you feel even a little bit more relaxed or supported during the day, you can come back to those moments as tools for regulation.
