Toilet training can feel like one of the most exciting and nerve-wracking milestones for both you and your little one.

This clear and practical guide from BBC Tiny Happy People and ERIC UK can help you get started on the right foot 👶🚽

They walk you through:

🚽How to tell when your child is ready

🚽Simple ways to introduce the potty (without pressure)

🚽Helpful routines (like timing after meals)

🚽Encouragement strategies that feel natural

🚽Night-time training tips, plus transitioning from potty to toilet

🚽Special advice for children with additional needs

It's all about going at your child’s pace, staying consistent, and celebrating small wins from sitting on the potty to dry mornings. A little praise can go a long way!

Check it out here for compassionate, easy-to-follow guidance:

ERIC, the children's bowel and bladder charity, answer commonly asked questions about potty training, including when to start potty training, what to do when your child won't poo and more.
